these things. They are pure and simply a money grab by the leagues and teams. The NBA city jerseys, the MLB alternate unis, the NFL (the Giants' "new" old unis are simply ugly). Not to mention "throwback" jerseys are supposed to remind people of their past years cheering for their team. How many Giants fans are left from the 1930s? Zero.
at first, I thought that the idea of Giants gear that doesn't necessarily have "GIANTS" all over it was somewhat clever. I'm sure many of you on this site have had the same realization I've had over the years: there's only so much Giants shit you can wear.
So I figured hey, maybe not such a bad idea. Then the price came... It's a complete failure for that reason. I get the whole streewear/fashion/"high quality fabric" thing but it's a gigantic swing and a miss. I do like the 100 year logo though and some of that stuff (which is ALSO expensive but not on the same planet as the 1925 abomination).
This is his company that is charging all this crap and he's justifying it a high thread count. Of course, he doesn't address the high press for the other items.
Likely no one. They are lying in order to convince those on the fence that they better buy it before "it's gone"
$90 for a long sleeve shirt?
Hopefully these prices are in Pesos.
If they come out with a jacket it will probably be $900
If limited inventory sells at huge margins, it's a big win.
This is not about getting fairly priced merch out to the entire fan base. It's about maximizing profit on a limited materials investment.
You guys know that.

Why do I see a 50 percent off sale coming in a few months?
I was just gonna say the same thing
You pay extra when your team is winning and demand is much higher. /s

Sadly those prices would still be horrible.
Don't forget about the $740 helmet. This is really hard to believe.

Then why are the prices the same for other teams that aren't in the financial capital of the world?
Good designs and material.
This is awesome!
Especially when they probably cost $10 to make. Notice how the description says ‘imported’ but, not from where?
They knew how angry people got with the free medium Pepsi so, this is their mea culpa.
I'll go buy a Winchester Wildcat SR.22 for plinking instead.
