Commanders seem to be getting their act together

On one hand, yes.

On the other, I can't help but feel we squandered over a decade of division rival incompetence by being incompetent ourselves and these guys will no longer be speed bumps.

Did a nice job in this year's draft as well... And if Jayden Daniels turns out to be the real deal, we might be looking up at the rest of the division

a bummer on one hand, but on the other if Wash has truly righted their ship, maybe the fear of being the only incompetent team in the division will force the Giants to finally get out of their own way for a change.

Not the most inspiring hire, but he gets more crap than he deserves. He did get to a SB.

The DT they just drafted needed foot surgery on both feet, yet people are falling all over themselves to praise the pick.

And that you have an entire generation of fans who have zero recollection of what a fantastic organization it was... From 1982-1992, they had a record of 116-52, 5 division titles, 8 playoff appearances, 16 playoff victories, 4 NFC Championships and 3 Super Bowl victories.

I was in college in DC when Snyder took over and there was so much optimism from their fan base especially after the '99 season... Most thought he was going to be the George Steinbrenner of the NFL...

As the joke of the division…I can think of one immediately…

That could obviously extend on much longer, ask the same Washington team we're swapping roles with.

As soon as they drafted their QB of the future while we decided not to try (offering one pick was for show) they pulled ahead.

I know I know, they're rookies this is why they play the games blah blah blah

Just look at the 4 teams and project where they're headed. I'm so tired of throwing myself against the same wall every year so I'm just going to be brutally honest and I apologize if that offends.

First thing you said: absolutely true. Much squandered.

Second thing: I'll believe they're no longer speed bumps when it happens. I heard the same things about David Tepper and Steve Cohen (yeah, I know, different sport, so what?).

faux-QB visit well after Daniels knew he was the pick. Pardon me, but Ill believe in a competent Washington organization when I see it. It's been nearly 30 years. Maybe they'll turn it around but the hand-wringing around here has been cute.

This is my thinking as well. They start their new journey with a jim Schwartz type of hire as HC. Both guys are defensive minded and when their teams did really well as HC it was due to their offenses playing out of this world. Unless Quinn gets to bring Kyle Shannahan with him, I’m not losing any sleep.

Strong hire and it appears to be trickling down.

The days of our dominance over Snyder's folly are over. I would be very surprised if we win more than a game or two this year in the division.

The Giants are also building a world class front office. As impressive as David Blackburn's resume is, don't sleep on this guy:
