being a drama diva before his behavior over the last 5-6 years has been pretty erratic and increasing in bizarreness and intensity. His whole walking off the field against the Jets was a literal mental breakdown in front of 60k plus people and countless viewers..
I don't feel sorry for him since he refuses help and refuses to acknowledge his behaviors but I can clearly see he is damaged.

Perhaps the damage is a factor in Brown asking or not asking for help?
like he's the first pro athlete to go broke. Plus filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean he's completely broke, more that he doesn't want to pay his debts.

Of course he’s not but he did make $80m, so call it half that after tax. Losing all that takes a lot of effort and no one should be shocked he accomplished that. He’s a loser.
he was elite in 2018 then got himself traded to Oakland where the wheels fell off. If he was just a normal diva he would have gotten another fat contact.
RE: CTE now carries symtpoms that make you act like an asshole?
hit was vicious and I 100% believe AB is suffering from TCE and that could leave to behavioral problems.
That said there are thousands of athletes and people in general suffering from CTE also coming from rough upbringings who do not turn into violent criminals or go bankrupt. So blaming his behavior on CTE is possibly just an excuse and shouldn't remove accountability for his actions from AB.
All that said, I'd like to see some forensic accounting on how he spent his money. Obviously not my business but I bet it would make interesting reading.

And have financial problems? Ahh. Had no idea - thank god I tune into BBI.
No offense, but this is one of the dumbest comments I have read on here. CTE basically makes people lose their minds. Part of that often involves being impulsive and reckless which correlates with bad financial decisions and acting unreasonably in general.
I was a Season Ticket Holder for the Albany Empire
Brown, while signing footballs, apologized to my section because of all the kids blocking the view of the game. He then sat with us for almost the entire half. He'd even visit our group for some later games.
Antonio couldn't be nicer...but...
He wasn't like the players I had met at Giants Camp in Albany. Maybe it was knowing about the hit he took, but I never got the sense he was "all there".
Yeah, owning the team was likely like him owning a new toy, but I didn't get the impression you would expect from a seasoned NFL vet (usually, those guys are more reserved). I did talk to Joe Morris when he was part of an ownership group for the Arena League New Jersey Red Dogs (Hufnagel was their coach). Totally different experience.
Could have been me. Maybe. I knew his Father (Eddie) from the time he played in the Arena League Albany Firebirds. I wish things didn't happen as they did for Antonio. I hope he comes out of this ok.

It absolutely causes change in behavior and brain function. He was a diva before but that hit may have accelerated the damage.

Even guys who seem to be model citizens go broke and end up in way more debt than they can handle without their player salary.
You might want to read the news once in a while.
