playing for Thibs Butler's first few years in the league. He swears Thibs made Butler what he is. Was real tough on him, made him earn every minute. It sounds like a tough love kind of thing. Butler is a horrific fit for this team right now. He doesn't buy into that give it 100% every night especially in the regular season dog mentality at all. Plus I do not seeing him meshing well with another ball dominant superstar like Brunson at all.

Butler is the definition of dog mentality, does he pace himself? 100% but if the Knicks want to make a run to a championship they are going to have to start pacing themselves as well..
and thats not me blaming Thibs for anything, last year was a crazy year with injuries but if this team wants to get to where they want and are as good as we hope, they need to atart pacing themselves especially towards the end of the year
Yeah Jimmy "pacing himself" has landed the Heat in the play-in
would be a terrible decision. Butler and the Heat are done. Butler's next important role will be as a veteran role player for a good team. He's not a lead dog anymore.
On and off the court he is a fit, he has played for Thibs before, he has that same mentality as the Nova 3, he plays defense, he can score..
He wouldnt be my first choice or even my second choice but if it comes down to it i wouldnt mind it..
Brunson, Divencenzo,Butler, OG, Hartenstein..
Deuce, Hart and Mitch off the bench..
That is a team no one would want to play
In that drunken video he said he loves Thibs but not "in love" with Thjbs

He has also had to be their best player
