Never mind that it was KK's deft outlet that sprung Schneider on the hit the pipe breakaway, threaded it between two CAR d-men.
It's not the move I'd make (I'd probably sit Vesey if they want to bring in Rempe) but I'm also not going to be as frustrated by it as I was two years ago when Gallant did it. At some point there needs to be a hint of offensive instincts shown by Kakko. He does a lot of good things in possession. But there is so little production to show for it and it rarely feels like he's even looking to push for his own offense. Sort of just content to cycle the puck and get off. It has value for a depth player, but where is the growth? Non-center, doesn't play much special teams, I can understand if he's the odd man out. Offseason topic, but feels like a fresh start is needed

Only a few players on the team who have played more than 2 playoff games have less ppg (Cuylle who is 2nd in hits for forwards, Wennberg and Rempe who is statistically basically tied with Kakko in ppg for the playoffs).
