If you had to guess right now, who starts next to Dexter?

Jay7852 : 6/3/2024 12:13 pm
Ryder Anderson?

Jordan Riley?

Jordan Phillips?

Seems like Ryder Anderson’s getting a lot of love from the beat writers, do t know much about him other than the giants must have liked him enough to keep him around last year after injury
Riley…

He trimmed down. Maybe more explosive and I like what I saw last year in limited work!
Nacho,

right?
ill say DJ davidson by a nose

I think that position is a dead heat between DJ and Jordan.
Since you said “start”, I assume that it’s first and 10

Riley is my guess. If you say third and long, I say Anderson is next to Dex. It is possible that third and long will bring some sort of Nascar package.
'Starter' seems largely a matter of semantics.

Once you get past Lawrence, Thibodeaux, Burns, and Okereke, the front seven (or six, or five - depending on down and distance) will be a rotating cast of guys playing 30-60% of the snaps. I assume Nunez-Roches is at the front of that line, with Jordan Phillips, Jordon Riley and D.J. Davidson in the mix. Ryder Anderson might carve out a niche too, since he offers impressive wingspan to go with his recently-added muscle.

I doubt it matters a lot - we're probably just shuffling JAGs. But maybe one of the younger DLs can distinguish himself and push Phillips off the roster. (If Phillips sticks as more than practice squad insurance, I'll take it as a bad sign.) Also hoping for some progress from Micah McFadden on the second level.
Riley or Nacho on running downs

Ryder Anderson on passing downs
I go with Nacho,
Bill in UT : 6/3/2024 3:23 pm : link
he's got the most experience, unless someone breaks out in camp
Phillips

and IMO it's not a close call.
Riley's ready to take this job ....

Nick Falato looks at Riley's rookie season work :

Riley's "country strong", but big as he is, he "slithers" through holes exceptionally well to catch running backs in the backfield.
