Neal was held out of the team portions but have some participation in individual stuff. Then on the last session that was open for media, he was on the bike and didn't even warm up with the team. That is a concerning, but could be just part of the plan or could be indicative of a setback. This is #1 for me to listen out for today.
As a 47 overall pick, you'd like to see Nubin getting reps with the 1s. OTAs are obviously more about teaching, so not necessarily a concern, but this is something else to keep an eye on.
I'd really like to hear more detail about who is lining up with which groups and how rotations are going. It's possible the media is not allowed to get too into all of that in OTAs. I'm hoping we get more details from this minicamp.
The question about who will be doing the play calling is non-issue at this point. I think that question's been answered --no surprises there.
Put the Waller story line to rest. He's returned as we suspected, move along.
Questions about kicking game are important story line, especially with new rules and how big an issue returner was for us last year. But TBH, I have a hard time putting too much though into special teams in the spring. Wake me up when we get to camp on that one.
It's been reported that they ran more 11-11 in OTAs than in years past. Maybe this is adjustement to some of last year's slow start. I doubt we will see Jones in on 11-11 this week, but he seems to be on track for that in camp. They're probably happy to have Lock and DeVito get quality work in there. Jones will be the starter this year, but if he turtles up and refuses to throw down field, gets injured, or the team gets off to a bad start and concerns for injury clause sets in --all very possible, they will turn in another direction.

OT Kellen Diesch - I always liked him as a reserve OT; yes, he lacks power in run game but if you have to tap into a reserve OT he's not going to ruin an offense (like so many of our OTs not named Andrew Thomas in the last 10 years)
While I understand the extra scrutiny on Evan Neal...

yes, it's standard procedure, but it raises concerns about his ability to play at a high level or even just without pain by the start of the season. If he's not ready to go, they have serious adjustments to make. They don't have a decent backup T on the team and sticking EO out there screws up the G situation again. With a healthy, improved Neal, this team only has 5 good lineman. Without him we're back to the same old-same old.
