Can one of you Yankee fans living in Florida (or elsewhere outside of the NY area) advise if the Yes Network is available via streaming? I have the MLB package, but I would love to get pregame/postgame content. Thanks...
Lead and watching pitchers nibble around the zone. Attack the fucking plate, you’re up by 7!
Exactly right. And throwing the FB with the bases loaded after two terrible swings on the slider/breaking ball is why I sometimes question Trevino's pitch selection. Perhaps he wanted outside and Hamilton missed his spot by 20 inches.
Hamilton threw a clear 3rd strike - clear third strike and he called a ball. Batter subsequently singled.
His called strikes on Trevino and Torres clearly balls. All the pitches were basically straight done the middle. How do you miss pitches right down the middle of the plate. I understand outside, but directly over the middle of the plate?
Well that and clearly the Dodgers are a better team.
Going into the season, definitely. But if you now include a fully back Cole I’m not sure the Dodgers are better, especially with Soto/Judge playing like this.
Some fastballs he won’t get to play. He just throws changeups and half the time he doesn’t know where they’re going the other half of the time the hitter sits on it
Guys chill on the pen. They've been solid most of the year and picked a great night to be shaky. They'll make some tweaks adding injured guys like Efross/Trevino and probably trade for an arm or 2 before the deadline. You play every day in baseball for 6 months there's gonna be some ups and downs. 49-21 is just glorious.

Hey Stu - when one guy comes in and is shaky ok. Not three. Now of course, Hamilton should have been out of the inning on a blown call that likely gets a blemish on the umpires scorecard it was so bad. 3 runs scored because of it. But even so, it made the count 1-2 and all of a sudden Hamilton couldn't find the strike zone.
Kahnle is at best questionable and Ferguson is just filling a uniform. Guy is effective 1 out of 3 games it seems. It was an 11-2 game. There is no reason for Holmes to even put his shoes on, never mind have to start to warm up.
Most teams bullpens get worn out because of the starters. This team's BP gets worn out because of themselves.
He's the same age as those guys too. A very good player coming up at the same time and same position as two great players.
For sure. But looking back on it, you could have made the argument that A Rod, Nomar, and Tejada were all better offensively than Jeter. Turns out Jeter had a supremely better career than Nomar and Tejada, and we know what happened with A Rod. I have no reason to think either Witt or Gunnar will fall off, but I guess I'm saying it remains to be written. I'm happy to support our local guy, and if he gets stuck being third fiddle, it's bad luck but I'm still glad we have Volpe.

The famous SI cover with all of them (6) on the cover including Omar Vizquel...Jeter the only one in the HoF, no?

Volpe will be just fine.
I think you're referring to the below linked picture? I definitely remembered different players being involved. Link - ( New Window )
RE: RE: RE: RE: Yeah, I feel a bit sorry for Volpe
Funny because the pitcher threw ball 4 and the ump called it strike 1. Next pitch Line drive HR...
So much for trying the opener concept...

I missed alot of that inning, did Soto get on base?

Ooops, re-read - no they cut it off after the game. No pre or post game. Sorry

His blown call has lead to a Royals run.
The Dodgers didn't face *this* lineup

But yes Kahnle is awful. Cash may need 3 new RPs
He has fallen off the deep end. Wow. He wanted no part of that ball.
49-21.

yeah, that's what I'm taking away from this series too. Yanks are bashing them but Witt is really, really good.

Unfortunately our guy Volpe may be (slightly) outclassed by Witt and Gunnar, which is no knock on Volpe.

No, I believe it was Sports Illustrated and all were in uniform. Maybe it wasn't SI..
I like that formula.
I like that formula.
Tried an true method - that and wait out the starter and destroy the relievers.
