I know we've discussed BW a few times, but I just watched Love & Mercy (on Prime I think) and wanted to recommend. Very well done.
The casting (other than Cusack) was pretty remarkable. So many of the characters really looked like the people they were playing including the Beach Boys. Even the Wrecking Crew members looked authentic, based on old footage of them working with Brian. Cusack was good but it was just hard to think of him as Brian and not as John Cusack.
Having been a fan, I knew most of the backstory. Didn't know much about Gene Landy though. And if this protrayal is accurate, that guy shoud have been jailed instead of just taking his licence away in California. Also, if you have preconceived opinions on Murray Wilson or Mike Love ... they won't be changed for the better, lol.
