I was fortunate enough to be able to screen next week's Hard Knocks episode, and while not providing any spoilers is part of the deal, I think overall Episode 2 is better than Episode 1 because of the content at the Combine. #Giants100

Hearing what I did in Episode 1, I have changed my mind: I do believe the Giants' potential pursuit of a QB will be shown in some way, shape or form in this series.
Maybe not directly with the trade-up scenarios on draft day, but I don't think they're going to shy away from it.
What about "Smart, Tough, Dependable?"
Maybe they will explain how dependable lines up with all of the injury prone guys the team has been built around the past few years?
He’s going to be in every episode. Guaranteed.
Will still watch every episode, even the little kernels are fun.
How much of that was real and how much of it was talking through the thought process out loud for the camera? Also, in any strategy discussion, it's worth bringing up the alternative viewpoint even if it's not the best one, just to consider it.
It felt like everyone in the building wanted Schoen to throw a bag of money at Saquon and Schoen was the only sensible person to not want to do it.
So you do not want an opposing opinion? If Schoen doesn't hear differing opinions, the staff is not doing its job.
Yes a RB centric offense is passe, and walking away from their best offensive player is difficult. But I think it shows why Schoen was brought in - to change the thinking at 1925 Giants Way.

What I found somewhat alarming was that McDonnell wasn’t on the same page as Schoen so early in the process.

This place has found a new thing to attack. But you’re right. It’s called internal dialogue and just people within the org offering up alternative viewpoints. It’s his shit works in the real world but on BBI if someone has an alternative view they usually come under attack.
Franchises and organizations are not echo chambers. Only BBI is.
Mara sold his soul on this one.
Mara sold his soul on this one.
No he didn’t
Every team at some point has to participate in this
They chose the lesser of two evils and did it in the off season as opposed to training camp or during the season
If anything they are one of the last teams to participate in this
How much is my fine?????

Was Art the one who asked Jones about trading up for Maye and Jones said "I don't know what really happened on draft day and I don't think you do either."
Not sure about Art, but if the show makes it look like the tradeup story is bullshit, Duggan is going to explode.
How much is my fine?????
Why were you were hoping he'd say screw you?
You mean Wellington Mara's grandson who is a part of the front office and being groomed to eventually take over from John Mara??
yeah no chance..
Mara sold his soul on this one.
Giants have NEVER been on Hard Knocks...
100th anniversary of one of the original NFL franchises???
yeah ZERO chance they werent going to have to capitulate to the league in SOME way.. They managed to avoid the Hard Knocks distraction of mini camp.

I thought Rosetti did a good job of outlining the RB options and that someone with money to spend will throw it at Barkley. Schoen didn’t think so and was proven wrong, then went against his own thought of “good week 2 value at RB” and immediately signed Singletary. I also thought it was odd to discuss total carries at Penn State and use that to show Barkley’s wear and tear but not use it for Singletary, who had more college carries
