It's an objectively hilarious hypocritical farce and we are doing humanity *zero* fucking favors. But its the world we'll live in as long as we accept it.
Hill’s personal conduct is reprehensible. Even if his sexual escapades are fully consensual and his partners well aware of his pattern, as you say his children will likely bear consequences too. Add his record of domestic violence, and terms like “dirtbag” seem barely adequate.
Butker is problematic in ways that are less obvious, but potentially more pernicious and menacing. He and Isabelle are welcome to make their own choices and live their lives as they choose. Nobody cares, and nobody judges them for it. The issue is his advocacy for a society-wide agenda, for restricting the choices of others, and for bigoted, anti-semitic, and sexist positions. It’s a myth that he only voiced those views at Benedictine College (though it’s ironic that his defenders would play the “Safe Space” card WRT his commencement address). He is an eager activist who walks the corridors of power, and nobody’s victim.
I apologize for pushing the boundary of political discussion. My point is simply that Hill and Butker don’t belong in the same discussion, and neither provides any kind of defense for the other.
As for his kids, they actually may have a much better chance than many, since the family courts will ensure their mothers are receiving money that guarantees a decent standard of living. They may not have a present father who is a good role model, but that is true of many, many children, unfortunately.

To be clear about Butker, any public figure who espouses the long-discredited smear of collective Jewish responsibility for deicide deserves loud, thorough denunciation.
