But Boone has a habit of putting guys in spots in the lineup where they don’t have a chance to succeed. Volpe at leadoff and then bouncing Rice between leadoff and cleanup is not smart. They may not have many others for those spots, but you’re going to kill the kids’ confidence. If you take away his monster game against Boston Rice is hitting something like .105 in his last ten games with 15 Ks and just 4 hits.

Just let Soto lead off and Judge hit second. Soto is the best OBP guy on the team. Judge hitting 2 before Soto got here. Then put the best contact guy third (is that Wells right now? Rice looked really bad yesterday against changeups. I suspect teams have adjusted to him.), then Stanton 4 when he gets back. Why give up an out 80 percent or more one spot before Soto hits. If he leads off in the first you take one of those outs away.
Meanwhile, Volpe is back to pulling off the ball. When he was hitting .290 he was looking to go to RF most of the time. Verdugo just looks lost, mad and unconfident. He's done nothing since his first game back in Boston.
I wasn't aware this was yet another streaming service to carry games. I don't have Roku and I logged in to MLB TV and get "You do not have access to this broadcast". It's amazing MLB keeps thinking up ways for fans to NOT watch games.

It's not a ton of games, but I currently can't watch on Apple+, Peacock, Roku, plus I can't see Yankee games on MLB TV. I'm not subscribing to any of those services for the sole purpose of watching a few games.

I’m pretty sure that the Roku channel is free, but I agree with your point. It’s super annoying.
But I long for the days of having Stanton in the lineup.
I really hope the top brass has a long, good look at this team and realizes what they have won’t cut it. They can’t be buyers. Im also thinking, if all they care about is the regular season and sneaking into the playoffs there’s no way they’ll shell out for Soto.
Not on prime. Not on mlb network. Not on yes, the same channel we pay for that is supposed to be the Yankees baseball network. I guess they ate on the fuck you channel yet again. Cool more options.

They can't be buyers? They SHOULD be buyers. Depending on how things shake out today, they may end up with the second best record in the AL at the break. Stop acting like this team is a .500 team. This has been without their best pitcher for 3 months and Stanton on the shelf. It's a long season and they have plenty of time to optimize the team for October.

I give up.
Free on the Roku channel.
I'm watching on my laptop at therokuchannel.com.
Good quality and no sign in required.

This old man yelling at the clouds thanks you
Thank goodness they used Verdugo’s middling numbers
that last play had a very high catch %, but I'll wait for confirmation before posting the number.
The ball was right at him and was well short of the warning track. Should’ve been caught. However, guys get frozen on balls hit directly at them sometimes. The Volpe play was an even bigger clusterfuck.
It's also on MLB.tv.

Jude just missed that one.
LONK - ( New Window )
2-1
I want him to figure it out because we sure as hell need him.

Dugo now has the sixth lowest OPS by an OF this season.

What are you talking about? Dominguez was rehabbing most of that time and the Yankees were the best team in baseball when he got injured again
Umpire interference on the throw.
Ump called interference on himself. Catcher's arm hit him on the throw.
Wow Ben Rice. Love getting Kimbrel.
Because the stupid ass umpire interfered with the catcher
Exactly. We need a better closer, but that’s on Volpe and Verdugo today
