NFT: Offsite Parking for Citi field

NJGiantFan84 : 7/14/2024 11:47 am
I’m headed to a concert this week and am looking to beat the traffic after the show. I go to a lot of concerts and typically try to park about a mile away and walk over, when possible. I walk a lot anyway so i have no issue walking 20-30 minutes.

Researching some options for citi, i found the shoppes at Skyview plaza about a mile away located at 40-24 college points blvd.

Has anybody parked here for a game or show? Is citi field walkable from there? The hours say 10-9 PM. Does the garage stay open 24 hours?

Any other offsite recommendations?

Thank you all in advance!

is the 3 highways that surround it. Van Wyck, Whitestone Expressway and the Grand Central. The only way to walk in or out is really Roosevelt Ave. You have Corona on one side and Flushing on the other. Good luck finding parking in those neighborhoods..And yes, I'm seeing to Foo Fighters too..

Thanks for the info! Thats awesome, should be a great show! Been waiting on this one since the cancelled tour.

Looking on google maps, it basically has me walking down Roosevelt ave. From the Skyview mall for about a mile or so. I cant tell if there are sidewalks and its actually possible to walk that far though. Do you know, is that possible?
I've done it

My in-laws are too cheap to pay for parking at Mets games and I've walked with them (over 10 years ago).

It would be street parking in neighborhoods, I believe off Roosevelt. This isn't a particularly "nice" area, though not saying it's necessarily unsafe. But for me, I'd rather spend the few minutes getting out of the parking lot than walk around there at night, particularly if you don't know the area.

When I went to AEW Grand Slam

I had used a parking garage I found on parkwhiz. It was a 24 minute walk and I see to citi field it is a half hour. It is 108-40 Horace Harding Expy. I thought I was the only cheap one that didnt pay $60 for parking but there was a few of us who made the pilgrimage.

Have fun!

Yes there is a sidewalk, albeit by a very busy road. You can walk down under the subway and basically cross the street at the iron triangle. Shouldnt be too bad.
