I am under heavy pressure to use far more intrusive ads, but I've resisted that for years. You can see how bad it has become just by visiting some of the newspaper sites that are big companies and not effectively one-man operations.

Yeah, I don't know how these big newspaper sites get away with it, I can't even visit those sites anymore. And comparatively speaking, it's much less noticeable here.

Believe it or not, I actually have to negotiate argue to make ad density less with these ad companies.
My biggest issue is that ads don't appear the same way on the same devices/browsers. So if I look at something on Firefox on a desktop, it is completely different when I use Chrome. And mobile devices are vastly different.
That's why I always need people to send me screen shots. Sometimes the ad network will say, "we don't see the problem."
The last time I ran the donation campaign was 2020. I had hoped I was past that, but I had issues paying the server bill this year. I'm going to have to run a campaign this Fall so I don't run into the same problem.
Eric, do what you have to do. We appreciate the work involved in

I dont need a fundraiser to send you some $, if you want to email me direct, I can send you something if I know what you're costs are. I have Venmo, PayPal etc.
You shouldnt have to suffer making payments when you run this service.

Thanks, but I don't like it open ended. I like sending thank-you notes and moving past it so I can focus completely on football.

Click through thing you used to have set up? Would've came in handy during this last go around with Prime Day. Maybe I don't know where to look for it anymore?
For those that aren't familiar, Eric used to have a Amazon link that you could click on and would redirect you to Amazon. Any purchases you make on there would give Eric a little kickback/commission. Didn't cost you anything on your end. The redirect to Amazon didn't change your product prices. It just helped to support BBI.

It used to perform decently when Amazon set up their affiliate program in such a way that I could create a Giants-specific store (videos, books, jerseys), but Amazon moved away from that.
The option you raise is valid, but beyond our technical means.

I believe we have marketing people here, finance people, I know we have tech people, surely we can figure out a plan.
He gives everyone an opportunity to avoid the ads for $50 a year. Might be an option that could work here too.

I'll probably start the campaign in September.

Site isn't really set up like that. If you send me money, I can't turn off the ads for you.
