Time for another Subway Series: the second & final one this season. Separate threads as usual—Mets fans only on this thread: We go our own way, they go theirs. The Mets somehow split a four-game set with the craptastic Marlins, who they finished their season series against yesterday (5-5 record). Beginning with this game, the Mets are stepping up in weight class. Their next three opponents are the Prison Stripers, Barfs, & Twins. Click

A.J. Puk
Marlins Receive:
Dom Hamel (Mets No. 13 prospect via MLB Pipeline, No. 10 via BA)
Nick Morabito (Mets No. 25 prospect via MLB Pipeline, unranked via BA)

Puk's contract is awesome (click HERE for it). He just turned 29 and is only making 1.8 million this year. He won't be a FA until after the 2026 season. The Mets would be getting this giants southpaw for 2 and a third seasons. He's Pete's old buddy from the University of Florida too.

thats the right value range - i like morabito and would prefer to give up someone upper minors, i wouldnt want to give up lower minors guys. dan would have a more educated opinion than me, but id view that return not so far off what marlins gave up for robertson last year, who i think is in a different category of reliever. i think it's the right range id just rather give up someone less interesting than morabito (like ramirez, who i think is ranked similarly in most rankings).
Whoipin it like dey us $$$!

they’re winning the World Series tonight. Just a pack of losers.
And the Yankees are even bigger losers because they’re spineless & lifeless
Agreed. One of us could go into the game at this point and still hold onto this win, lol.
Really too bad we can't slap this dogshit team around for a few more games.

Fuck’em. There’s a reason why Yankee fans are amongst the most hated fans globally. Most of them are pretentious fucking pricks. These wins are worth the price of their tears.

Have to be honest…I absolutely love (and not shocked) how easily triggered you are. Wanna keep going? It’s just too easy.

Says the guy who's first thing on his mind is the opposing team's thread.
That's rich.

You mean the thread that you weren’t even part of until a Mets fan dared to enter your domain? POSER
Lemme guess…you are the typical 5 foot 6 napoleon complex Yankees fan, right? Yeah, you know I’m right. I bet you are wearing Derek Jeter jammies right now, right? lol, classic.
