the problem with camp videos is that all these completions could also mean that our db's suck.
Ha. That's the general issue with updates when your team is on both O and D at the same time. But not all these completions. That looks like some good coverage by Banks on the Nabers TD. Sometimes when a QB puts it in the right place to the right guy like that, there's just nothing you can do about it.
is why they should sign van roten. the idea that maybe he's not any better than Stinnie is irrelevant to me. it would be great to have another legitimately serviceable guard on this roster. We know there be injuries.
prior to his first season with the Giants:
"He lost approximately 50 pounds between January and June 2022 after being named the Giants head coach as a result of a bet with a colleague."
Went into last season looking like a bowling bowl.

Banks definitely does not suck.
Nabers, even as a rookie, is the best WR on this team. By a wide margin.

Good luck, NFL DBs.
What an excellent adjustment to the ball thrown to his back shoulder by the #Giants rookie. Link - ( New Window )
Was it completed? How much timing work between QB and WR has been done? Was there a blockage to the passing lane that had to be avoided?
You don't know, do you...
Of course the ball was thrown late.
Timing? Don't make me laugh. Daniel lacks that ability. He is a clear and throw QB. Nabers is going to revolt at the halfway point into the season and you will want him drawn and quartered to excuse yet another crappy QB performance.
So you can see that the lane is clear? Someone has already said Beavers looked to have been in the lane.
And, 2nd day of camp...the fact remains, it was caught and would have been a TD.
You don't understand, with these knowledgeable football fans, every pass has to be perfect. Just like all the other QBs throw.
People who say DJ cannot throw the football are just wrong. He can spin it better than most. His issues come with seeing the open receiver and getting rid of the ball. He was shell-shocked last year. I hope he can recover.

Researching something and this stood out to me, there are only two players on the roster who weren't drafted/signed/re-signed by Schoen: Azeez Ojulari and Aaron Robinson. This is entirely his roster now.
Interesting, but not all that surprising. I recall last year reading he had turned over something like 85% of the roster.

And it’s entirely not good enough 3 years in.
Personally, I disagree.
Obviously, their play on the field will answer this. But, I think this roster went from bottom 5 to middle of the pack this year. I would be disappointed with another season less than 8 wins.
looks like he's going to be alright in the NFL. I don't think any player is a lock coming into the league and I've said that a few times but damn he looks the part already.
Also find it funny that the main criticism of Jones is the lack of TDs and then finding ways to nitpick when he actually does throw a TD. I'm down on Jones as the QB of the Giants, but a TD is a TD even though it's camp.

I’m told Jermaine Eluemunor has been pushing to do more than position drills today, but more likely Giants go the cautious route for team drills.

Nick Saban saying he was a problem for Alabama spoke volumes. If Jones can get him the ball he'll lead the team in TDs and receptions, and I doubt it will be close.

He's had the same issues since he was in college but ok go with the shell-shocked excuse.

Nabers combines the best traits of OBJ and Hakeem Nicks. His ceiling is virtually unlimited.
Daniel Jones has never struggled in simulated, non-contact environments. He's a sure bet for the Training Camp Hall of Fame. That's ultimately the most frustrating thing. He looks every bit the legitimate pro quarterback in the Summer.
If the Giants can some how create a near pressure free environment like was the case in the Minnesota playoff game, Jones would be very productive.
I remember a ton of reports about his awful camp two years ago. It was so bad speculation started on which week Taylor would take his job. It turned out Daboll was giving the D the offensive calls to test how Jones would respond to adversity, but at the time all we knew was that DJ was terrible in his first camp with Daboll.
Can’t say the same about Drew Lock….still not a fan….he was not my first choice to find our 3rd string back up…..but I doubt both Jones and Cutlets will get hurt….so maybe it’s no big deal.

Last offseason is the first time I remember Jones getting positive reviews for the majority of camp. So many reports of his connection to Waller being unstoppable and that one drive in the preseason. Also happened to be the worst season of his career.
All I've learned over the years is that what happens in training camp and preseason games is not an indicator of how the regular season will go for any individual or the team as a whole..except for the Giants o-line consistently looking bad.

My money is on Wan’Dale leading them in receptions.
Nabers leading them in yards and TDs
Hyatt leading them in YPC.

Shell shocked is not an excuse. It can end a QBs career. If he cannot recover from that then he cannot play QB. As a QB you cannot let the rush affect you like that. It may not be his fault that he got that way - but I am more worried about his ability to move past it than I am about his throwing the ball.
OMG now he's making our DBs look bad. LOL. Try to enjoy one minute of your life... it is possible.

As said in one of the comments on the Jalin Hyatt video
Its laughable the comments under a good play vs bad play. Good play - something's wrong with our defense. Bad play - Daniel Jones is awful.
Mentally ill fan base.

They don't exactly win that much down there unless the ball is round.
If you're going to find fault with Jones, his Duke career isn't really the spot to nitpick.

Thanks Einstein. It's F'ing training camp. We all know it's not the same as a real game.
Read Daboll's transcript - his whole point of 11-11 v 7-7 is Jones getting pressured.
Preseason is time brush up on fundamental skills - like admitting when you're wrong.
