Players who keep getting positively mentioned in TC reports

Eric from BBI : Admin : 7/30/2024 1:39 pm
This is NOT all inclusive. And it is based on multiple reporters over the course of more than one (of six) practices.

In no particular order:

Tyrone Tracy
Dante Miller
Malik Nabers
Jalin Hyatt
Lawrence Cager (now hurt with hamstring)
Tyree Jackson
Ryder Anderson
Elijah Chatman
Kayvon Thibodeaux
Azeez Ojulari
Darrian Beavers
Dyontae Johnson
Nick McCloud
Tre Hawkins
Andru Phillips
Dane Belton
Gervarrius Owens

If I missed someone, please include. I'm looking for trends.

Jones, Daniel
I'm definitely intrigued by these young RBs
UberAlias : 7/30/2024 1:52 pm : link
I recall the team being called for having the word RB room in the league. I know not to put a lot into training camp, but that comment was a total head scratcher to me. It's an interesting group with some very intriguing upside.
Brian Burns
Blue Baas : 7/30/2024 1:59 pm : link
Not sure how consistently, but there was one clip of him beating Thomas and the author commented he probably has never seen AT beaten like that in camp.

If the fates conspire -- and Thibs, Burns, and Ojulari are relatively healthy -- that's a 2011 type pass rush.

Come on SFGF,

You passing in a weekend beer is impossible. Azeez at least has a .1 chance of staying healthy lol

I know it feels like a lifetime ago, but he put up 750+ snaps in 2021. Hopefully a role as a situational guy is in the cards.

Like Ojulari, I'm committed to a more focused and less underwhelming version of Christian.

So you are saying there is a chance!
Andru Phillips

is the sleeper. I'm reading that he's had a very good start to camp.

Could this be a big reason why Aaron Robinson was sent packing today?

Looking forward

to seeing Turbo in the preseason. When you think of the Giants, speed doesn't immediately come to mind.

How about these guys - Nabers, Hyatt, Robinson, Slayton, Tracy, Miller.

Those guys can run!
Azeez Ojilari
cjac : 7/30/2024 3:28 pm : link
Is still on the team?
Pretty psyched about Turbo.
mittenedman : 7/30/2024 3:36 pm : link
RB is one of those positions where it's obvious right away if they're good IMO. And they can be found anywhere.

I remember back when they drafted Bradshaw, every time they gave him the ball it was like "Who TF was that?"

Hopefully Miller's one of those guys. There is no reason physically he can't be.
I am not taking the lows....so I won't take the highs either
George from PA : 7/30/2024 4:18 pm : link
I felt roster had a ton of young talent....I suspect the Giants will cut decent players.

One of the 1st signs....team is turning the corner.

Ojulari is a stud. But NEVER EVER healthy. Reminds me of Tuck in a way that he has the talent but was injured in college. So went later that he could have. Tuck was a great gamble. Azeez the tease hasn't really worked out. I can't see the Giants ever investing a lot in him even if he kills it this year. For the team I hope he has an uninjured year but not holding my breath

christian : 7/30/2024 5:07 pm : link
Hopefully Ojulari has a huge year on the field, and if he's not retained factors well in the comp formula.

He was never a very well rounded prospect. He's a pure pass rusher. I think his ceiling is our old friend Markus Golden.

That was his rookie year. Came in 2022 jacked up adding muscle mass and got hurt. Tried yoga last year and got hurt. I wonder if the strength and conditioning team worked on him regarding dropping some mass to prevent injuries. Seems counter intuitive for football but we don’t need him holding up against the run
Dante Turbo Miller
NJBlueTuna : 7/30/2024 5:54 pm : link
Remember it, he has potential to make the team as a KR given the new rules.

Same. Speed is a big asset. I think Turbo has a better chance of making the roster than Gray, even though Gray was drafted. As a drafted RB, he was unable to earn any snaps. That is even for the Giants unusual. I’m not counting his fails on special teams. As a rb he only got limited reps when others were hurt. Turbo adds a different dimension, albeit he is super green. My hope is he stars in camp, forces a spot on the roster and Gray goes es to the PS at best.
Dante Miller
kelly : 7/30/2024 9:15 pm : link
You can't teach speed and he is also very strong.

Another guy who can stretch the field and appears to be decent at catching the ball.

Gray has not impressed me.
Notable that Beavers and Johnson are getting noticed
mfsd : 7/30/2024 9:40 pm : link
more than McFadden so far. Seems like they may be a better fit for the new defense
