For retaining him, his style of play does not warrant a long term contract. Can see his body wearing down like Girardi's did.

He's breaking down more often every year. And if their season doesn't go well he would be a good rental trade option for somebody in need of D help.

7 defense (34% of the cap)
2 goalies (8% of the cap)
I guess the other 1% I guess is a percentage of non-roster players. no capfriendly is hard to get used to.
this is if they make no other moves.

Not everybody is an Adam Fox type.
The hard nosed d-men don't get enough recognition because their offensive statistics aren't gaudy.
23/23 contracts.
