He'll wait for a team to lose a starter and leverage a payday. Same age as Logan Ryan when they signed him just days before the season started when Xavier McKinney got hurt.

Yes, but the rest of the league doesn't see it that way unless they need a replacement.

Him not being signed does not mean teams haven't made offers. He can wait until a team gets desperate.
he is angling to avoid training camp and to see which teams are desperate in September?
This. Weather it's a smart move will be seen but he may want a certain $ amount and assumes at some point due to injury or a team gets desperate he won't move. It may work out but he would the first player to over estimate his value.
he's probably in that place where he knows his play is tailing off and he's not going to get another big pay day, and he's been paid almost $50M in his career.
Maybe he's thinking he doesn't need to work anymore.
Yes, he probably wants a better offer than any he may have received so far.
Also, veterans signed before the first game have their salaries guaranteed for the season. Veterans signed after the first game are week-to-week, no guarantees.
He may want a richer deal and teams that might sign him might not want to guarantee that deal. So it’s who blinks first.
And he'll sign during camp or maybe after week 1 to keep his contract week to week.
But I think it's important for us to realize that when you get beyond the sound bites about how everyone is a good player, one of the true ways a teams players get evaluated is how quickly other teams go after them in free agency. And so the rest of the league is telling us they don't think highly of Jackson. Perhaps he was weaker last year than we fans realize on tape
to start the season and sign after game one, your contract is not guaranteed for the the year. It will be interesting to see if the guys on that list sign in a few weeks for that reason. I think all of them are a pulled hamstring waiting to happen though if they come in right before the season.

Maybe Adoree doesn't want to come back. Maybe they watched Adoree play last year and don't think he can play to the level they need.
It's not really a shocker. He didn't have a good season. Maybe they do circle back, but I don't expect it to happen. Think he'll end up elsewhere.

The Titans cut Jackson shortly after Bowen was hired as DC in 2021.
I think a lot of veterans don't play as hard as they could when stuck on losing teams going nowhere. Maybe that's why a few too many former Giants did well with their new teams.
If I had to guess, his agent is recommending holding out until someone gets desperate.
It is odd though. I doubt Bowen wants him.

That’s my guess
I’m sure he’s had offers

Rationalizes it by saying, mill wait till someone gets hurt, and a team is desperate for a starter…
You know what they call that? A BACKUP 🤣

He relies on the CBs to press the line and contain.
Whatever CB the Giants play he has to be able to tackle.
