I can use my phone. I never carry cash and i can use my phone to freeze my cards till i get new ones. Pluse i have a backup cc in my safe at hone for emergencies.
which probably is the deciding factor on this one. I don’t want to go buy a new phone, but I can do that more easily than replacing a license and all the phone calls to freeze and/or replace my credit cards, pistol permit, etc is a nightmare.
on this one: "Hope I Never Lose my Wallet" - great song from a great band.
Not much better than seeing these guys play this song at the Middle East in Cambridge during their annual Hometown Throwdown.
thanks for asking this question, I know its not the answer you were looking for but it brings back good memories and its the first thing I thought of when I saw your question.
the meaning of the song is there are a lot worse things to lose than your wallet. such as losing yourself, your mind, and who you are. such a fun song, but it's not meant literally and maybe that's a good answer to your question.
you can lose either, and for that matter all the material things in your life, but with perspective you will still have everything.
Anything important is backed up and can easily be restored. The thief, unless he's super sophisticated can't access anything.
Losing a wallet means losing your DL and other government ID which are a massive POA to replace. You need to cancel and replace CC's even if you use Apple Pay for everything and in my case, I need to replace senior citizen transit passes. And no, not all Transit passes can go into an App on the phone.

sorry question was rather lose so my answer was backwards.
Lose the phone keep the wallet
Gary, your latest questions come with assumptions that you seem to believe apply to everyone.
Which is why when you lose your phone you can quickly restore everything when buying a new one.
Lost. Not stolen.
At this point I'd rather someone style my car than phone.
Like someone before me stated, my phone case is my wallet.
