He’s playing pretty cheap in comparison to his contemporaries across the league. He’s disgruntled. And most likely on his way out the door after this season. And until proven otherwise he’s going into the season as the second best wr on this roster.
He implied because Slayton signed a contract last year, he should STFU.
I predict that Slayton is one of our most expendable and tradable starters. Could easily see a trade at cutdown time for a 5th.
Yeah, because heaven forbid we have quality depth anywhere on the roster or a really good 4 WR set because it’s a run dominant league don’t you know. Unbelievable.
Slayton was a FA and could have signed with ANY team. Obviously no other team offered the money the Giants did. So yeah, he needs to STFU and play well this year so he gets paid next year. Pretty simple.
Slayton’s skillset. He may be traded but it won’t be at cutdown time.
What is Slayton's skillset that others don't have. speed, others have that. the ability to drop passes, other can do that. I am confused by that comment. He is a good 3 rd or 4 th wideout on a quality roster.
I think Schoen wines a lot. And I think Slayton is awesome.
I like Slayton as a person and has played better than I thought he could
That said - he’s a complimentary WR who just chose to sign that contract in the open market. If a GM renegotiated every new contract with a player outperforming his contract - he should be fired
I'm not sure who is more overrated on BBI, Slayton or Hyatt? You're crazy if you think you can get more than a 7th for Slayton. I'd be surprised if they got that.

The guy has had 700 or more yards in 4 out of his first 5 seasons. He’s a valuable piece to a team needing a second or 3rd receiver. Receiver salaries are through the roof, so he will definitely get paid somewhere around 10+ million a season.

^ This. 700+ year in and year out is going to command that type of money (or close to it).
He has been very productive with limited targets. I do not know if the targets are limited because he is not open? If he had WR1 number of targets he would have WR1 stats. I am not saying he is a number 1 WR - but someone may see an upside.
WanDale is already a very good slot WR
Slayton is an experienced WR who makes for a solid #2 or 3 WR
Hyatt is very fast and has good hands and will
Only get better
WR. You can see the difference. What Slayton is, is the guy that bites your ass when you pay too much attention to a guy like Nabers or Robinson. Next thing you know he is down the sideline with a safety trailing with no chance to catch up.
What did he say, roughly speaking?

And?

Yeah, I have no problem with Joe implying that.
As a GM - that’s what he should say/think.
I think it as a fan
Athletes First wouldn’t sign a guy they didn’t think could get significant money

Slayton is going to get his this year, and do well in UFA next offseason.

It’s crazy that apparently only one person on this team gets held back by others. There’s no way people could be held back by someone else.
Slayton is VG WR and I agree he is better than BBI gives him credit for. But awesome is not the adjective for him. Effective is.
Schoen does not appear to be an alcoholic even if his wife was sipping some red on that last episode of HK...
Excellent reply! Ha ha ha - closet sipper

Hyatt is faster and has better hands
But he doesn’t know how play WR yet
Having Slayton until he does is excellent

He no longer has below average hands.
