I hate when I need to do this. It isn't 5 yard passes he is being dinged for. It is the deep throws he is late on or underthrowing that is the cause of palpitations.
Short throws sometimes are adjusted for the passing lane availability. But the moral outrage is over deep balls.
But carry on...
Im seeing reports on Twitter..
Brock Purdy throwing INTS in camp
Joe Burrow overthrowing receivers in camp
Josh Allen throwing three INTs in a row in camp
Trevor Lawrence not looking good in camp
But only in NY is this an issue the FIRST week of camp..
Imagine if Jones got into a heated argument in practice with Nabers like Rogers did with Wilson - Dan Duggan would write a series about it.

Actually, Dan on BigBlueBanter, who is most certainly not a Jones apologist, brought this point up. With Jones' injuries and to a lesser extent WanDale's, How much actual game time has Jones' had with the top 3 receivers? It's not as much as you would expect from a starting QB.
Aaron Rodgers seems to have no problem completing passes to Garret Wilson.
There's a story in today's Post that they've been having 'heated discussions' on the sidelines because they are having miscommunication on routes.
That was one incident from last week.
"The two have been filmed in recent PRACTICES having heated EXCHANGES on the sideline, which has led to speculation that the two might not be on the same page."
I guess the Post doesn't know the difference between singular and plural.

Indeed. The catch is table stakes for an NFL WR (though it would have been phenomenal for her). It was a great release and explosive separation.

Miller hasn’t had the best practice with two drops; one in the flat, the other on a quick slant from empty. The latter was in first team periods.

I'm guessing it was the play before that TD.

showing why not. Daniel Jones puts it on him after double move. Cor’Dale Flott didn’t have a chance. Malik Nabers earned that one after getting praise from Shea Tierney and Jones for his block on WR screen to Wan’Dale Robinson

That ball should quiet the arm strength may layers. He looks like he threw that from the left hash mark to the right sideline of the end zone from 50 plus yards out.

I still find it hilarious how NFL teams only practice once a day. We used to have two and three a days for football starting at 6AM. And i understand how they work out, meetings, film, all that in a day as well. I had the same in college when I played but we also had days where we had 2 practices on top of film and weight room. Back in 2011 in college we would practice in the morning, then watch film on that practice, then go practice a few hours later to correct things from the first practice. But to only practice once a day for 2 hours is hilarious to me at the NFl in TRAINING camp.
That's the least of it. In season, team are allowed 11 total padded practices over the first 11 weeks and then 3 the rest of the way.
Teams can only practice in pads every other week in the most crucial six weeks of the season.
And the NFL wonders why everyone is getting hurt so bad.
Who's getting hurt more than usual? It's smart because it limits the amount of wear and tear on the players since it's a 17 week season.

Nothing will do that.
Jones could throw 22 60+ yard TD dime completions in a row and the BBI DJH crew would bitch about two that were a cm short.
Also why Jones couldn't throw 44 TDs on 22 tries.

Theme of camp: throwing the ball deep. It hasn’t always been pretty but that won’t deter them from doing it.

That's not arm strength. All NFL QBs can throw lofted deep balls.
Arm strength is being able to throw lasers into tight windows in the 10–30-yard range, especially outside the hashes.

Daniel Jones bounced back with his best practice of camp after his worst on Tuesday. He threw a really nice deep ball for a TD to Malik Nabers, who got behind Cor’Dale Flott, and a deep TD to a wide-open Jalin Hyatt on a scramble drill. Also had a nice pass to Theo Johnson up the seam. Lowlight was an interception by Dyontae Johnson off an impressive leaping tip by Bobby Okereke on a pass into traffic over the middle.

Daniel Jones 11/15 at practice today with 2 TD’s & 1 INT.
Deep TD to Malik Nabers on an out & up on 3rd & long then found Jalin Hyatt wide open on a scramble to his right.
Interception was trying to fit in a pass to Daniel Bellinger between linebackers & Bobby Okereke tipped it up to Dyontae Johnson.

Giants Training Camp Day 7 thoughts
•Probably the best day from Daniel Jones so far. Got the ball in right spots outside of tipped up INT. Good deep ball to Nabers. Hyatt deep catch had to be waited for but a catch nonetheless
•Twice Isaiah Simmons tipped up an INT to Alex Johnson who is working at safety
•Dyontae Johnson continues to get 1st team work and had 2 would be sacks before his interception on Jones
•Theo Johnson now leads all TE’s in catches from Jones this camp with a seam catch & screen grab
•Greg Van Roten practicing at Center after Runyan did for 2 days is eye roll worthy

RB Dante Miller is working with Daniel Jones and Darius Slayton after practice. Slayton showing his veteran leadership.
Miller received some first team reps today but did have two drops. Love to see the extra work he’s putting in, especially in this heat.
The real answers to the questions will come over time -- say the first half of the season. Can he deliver the ball to all depths of the field in a variety of scenarios consistently?

Why would that be "eye roll worthy?" Bricillo wants to see what he has as backup centers. Runyan and Van Roten are vets that can afford a day at center.

In honesty he has always been A+ for effort. Problem is he has been C- for production.
