In a first time keeper league and need advice on which player to pick.
Settings:
0.5 PPR
10 Teams
2 QB League
Players to Pick
1) Josh Allen ($43)
2) Tyreek Hill ($52)
3) Drake London ($1)
For context - the Allen and Hill dollar values are fairly close to where they'd go in an open bid process - maybe a tiny bit lower. London is probably $30 below where he'd go.
Consensus seems to be London (given the dollar value) but not sure if that's taking too big of a leap of faith on an unproven player.
His ADP is 11 23.7 so he's going in the top 2 rounds in non-auctions, but I have to think that's great value in an auction (where $$$ are relative to your pool so hard to compare), for $1 I think it's an easy decision since as you mention you can re-buy Allen or Hill for roughly the same amount.
Ppr, 2rb 3 wr rb/wr flex
James Conner $11
Lamar Jackson $23
Michael Pittman $21
Zay Flowers $25
Jordan Love $4
Rachee Rice $2
Normally don't like keeping qbs but figured idnadd them since they usually go high in this league. I lean towards Rice and Pittman.
Thanks - yea it's tough.
It's a bird in hand v upside question. I think I'm leaning London for now though.

makes me pause for a second, considering Josh Allen, but seeing it's 10-team I think you'll be ok.

Yeah tough one. Allen is QB1 in most rankings I see.

What's your budget? I'm assuming it's a 1 QB league.
Definitely tough. Going player by player.
Conner, Flowers, Pittman - I'd eliminate all of them as you have better alternatives.
Jackson v Love v Rice - If you have a 2 QB league, then I'd double down and go Jackson and Love. If it's a 1 QB league, I'd go Jackson and Rice.
The Love cost v Jackson is a tough one, but I'd rather go with the guy with more rushing upside + the proven track record. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
Rice's potential suspension is obviously tricky, but it's baked into the dollar amount I think. There's a decent chance the suspension is pushed to next year.

Ah yes silly me $200

You can start 4 WR in ppr, I think you have to go Rice and Pittman (or Flowers could replace one of them).
Pittman is WR15 ADP 33.3
Flowers is WR25 ADP 56
Rice is WR36 ADP 85
Given the price difference between Rice and the other two I keep him.
Plus Rice's ADP is influenced by a possible suspension.
I'm just not great at knowing the auction values. Is $21/$25 a lot for example.

Yeah the Rice potential suspension certainly gives pause but the difference is too great to pass up.
QB: Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield
RB: Tony Pollard, Jaylen Warren, Ezekiel Elliott, Antonio Gibson, Roschon Johnson
WR: CeeDee Lamb, Cooper Kupp, Malik Nabers, Jayden Reed, Wan’Dale Robinson
TE: Sam LaPorta, Dallas Goedert
K: Jason Sanders
D: Texans
I know my RB’s look bad on paper, but my strategy in PPR is to sit back and wait on RB. I couldn’t believe I came out of round three with the consensus top QB, WR, and TE. And that Kupp and Nabers were sitting there at the bottom of the fourth so I could nab them with back to back picks.

Is it 1 PPR and a 3 WR league? If so, then it's a very solid team. I'm all for prioritizing WR over RB in those formats.
I'd see if there's a QB with rushing upside who can replace Baker (Daniels + Williams). I assume they were drafted, but I wanted to check.

So you took Lamb #1 overall? LaPorta 2nd round, Allen 3rd, Kupp 4th and Nabers 5th?

What Wrs did you pass up on at the 2/3 turn to get QB/TE

It’s a 2WR and flex league. I’m with you on QB, I was hoping to get Daniels or Williams but I waited a bit too long.

I did. I was hoping to get another receiver at the round 2/3 turn, but it just wasn’t there.

There was a run on WR’s in the earlier part of round 2 so by the time it came back to me it was like do I pick Jaylen Waddle level receivers? Or just go Allen and LaPorta? I went the second route and never expected Kupp and Nabers to be there end of round 4.
