This isn’t super great news for the #Giants because they’re injured already at position: TE Chris Manhertz just left with a trainer
Checking in on a busy Monday but seems like they're holding their own

#Giants 3rd team O shining in red zone. Grear draw TD run by Dante Miller. Pure speed. Fade TD and acrobatic catch from Tommy DeVito to John Jiles
In addition to the performance issues last year, he looked a bit dazed/shell-shocked the entire time. Recall his non-response to the 49ers talking trash about his contract.
Glad to see he's playing better for this scrimmage this year and showing some aggressiveness. He's fighting for his starting QB life again, and he hopefully he performs as well as he did 2022 in the same scenario.

We have reached stage of pushing and shoving and junk talking after every play #Giants vs #Lions. Flags thrown and helmet off in this one

Joint practices move so fast with action on two fields, so I’ll have to huddle with
@charlottecrrll
about the Giants’ defense and review my notes on the Giants’ offense. But my first takeaway walking off the field is that the Giants brought the fight today. That wasn’t the case a year ago. Looked like a much tougher team.
Connor Hughes
@Connor_J_Hughes
I had Daniel Jones 12 of 17 in #Giants practice today (full team period) and 7 of 8 in the 7-on-7 period. Thought he looked good. Only blemish being a near INT when Carlton Davis jumped a curl. The highlight was the long pass to Malik Nabers.
#NYG offense held up really well vs a really good #Lions team. Offensively line play stood out to me. Receivers open, too.
Completely different from first practice with Detroit last year. On other side,
@ShaunMorash
said Brian Burns lived in backfield.
Will have more detailed report for
@SNYGiants
shortly, but it was a good day.

Giants-Lions Joint Practice 1 thoughts
•The energy was nuts. Total opposite of last years sessions.
•Andru Phillips was in the middle of everything. Nick McCloud popping people too
•Didn’t watch every offensive snap but saw a lot of good passes from Daniel Jones with good connections to Malik Nabers
•Brian Burns dominated all day long
•I love fights so much
•Flott got burnt by Jameson Williams early & later Jamo was alone in the endzone on what must have been a busted coverage
From what I've seen on here and seen on Twitter it sure seems like the Giants outperformed the Lions. Can anybody confirm that?
I know it's just practice and we aren't seeing every play, but DJ seems like he isn't thinking as much this summer as he has in years past. Just dropping back and letting it rip. Also Nabers, Hyatt & Wan'Dale have looked really good.
Look at those 3 WRs and look at who we started the year off with last year at WR. We had Hodgins, Slayton, Parris Campbell & Sterling Shepard.

Dumb decision.
Maybe usually... but Daniel needs to fight.
..until he fractures his throwing hand on a helmet. Let your line hogs fight for you instead.

Excellent pass by Jones... gotta give props on that.

📢 You’ll want the sound up for this. 😱
You can feel the hit Giants LT Andrew Thomas puts on Lions rookie CB Terrion Arnold.
The kid stayed up, though.

The teams came together for drive-the-field red zone drill.
The #Giants drive inside the five but a pass to Malik Nabers stopped at the one. FG unit would have come on.
The #Lions needed one play: Goff to Jameson Williams for a 20-yard TD. He was wide open

Yep. And fight like hell.
+1. Exactly.
After all the shit he's been though and heard, if I were Jones, I'd be ready to rip the guys head off and piss into the bloody hole.
Also I'd be stinking rich.

Daboll knew they needed dawgs. And Schoen added a bunch.
This team is underrated. Maybe they should be and there are big questions but it’s far better talent than most expect.

I believe it’s on Fox, which means you may be SOL. See if there’s a Giants bar nearby.

Fiesty but good day of practice for the Giants.
They're allowed to do 2 a days, but they'd have to do it selectively with total practice time so limited.
