instead of the hybrid 'Color Rush' uniforms with the sparkle blue GIANTS helmets instead of the 'real' navy versions we use now.
I prefer the "ny" on the helmets, but if they want to go back to "GIANTS" for one game, at least have the blue colors match. Why they couldn't have done that in the first place is just odd. It's like wearing blue slacks with a navy blazer.

NFL had a one-shell rule in place at the time, so we couldn't switch from the 'sparkle blue' to navy. Rule has been pulled back, which is why we're seeing a proliferation of throwbacks across the league...finally.

Actually I meant that back in the day, the Giants should have matched the blue color on their helmets to their blue uniforms, not the other way around.
They probably decided to make the Century Red a one and done.
I agree bw - the legacy uniforms bring back fond memories of dominant football, though I prefer the NY logo helmet (and it is the only helmet with a Super Bowl reception).

At least they paid attention. Those unis are an abomination. I have NO idea why they decided to wear them alone besides the Legacy 80's/90's unis + the current variety. They could have worn the 70s unis too to switch things up as well once. Hopefully the Legacy 80s/90s unis come back full-time in the near future.
Should have been featured in a second game, since there are three times you can wear an alternate per season. I guess they love wearing it against Washington.
This. Seeing it for only a game is a letdown
They haven't made a drastic switch in a long time, only minor tweaks. Maybe it's time to change it up.
Exactly. BY FAR their best uni.
Plus a million
Get it out of the way early and then hopefully we never see those hideous things again
Agreed. Big disappointment.
Meh. They're ok as road pants, I guess, but I never liked them with the blue jerseys

Yup. I wish they went back to it full time. Same with the Patriots and Pat Patriot.

That uniform represents the Camelot Era of NYG football.

They did on Thanksgiving in 2022.
+1

They wear those blue and white uniforms with the stars on the jerseys. Ususally do on Thanksgiving
And by funny, I guess I really mean idiots.
