Malik Nabers didn’t go inside after checking out of practice, but he’s clearly limping as practice ends. He was using a band to flex his left ankle/foot while sitting on a chest on the sideline.
Big if true. Can we fire Barnes and the rest of these jabronis on the medical staff?
Did Barnes step on his foot or run it over with a cart? Maybe I missed it but how is a player hurting his foot Barnes’ fault?
You must’ve missed the last 15 + years with injuries and misdiagnosing players.
I haven’t missed anything and still waiting to hear how or why Barnes is responsible for Nabers hurting his foot? Doesn’t seem to me like Barnes has anything to do with it.
You want to bring up the past, that’s fine but it’s irrelevant to this, and seems silly to me to bring Barnes into Naber’s injuring his foot today.

I tend to agree with you. I think it's up to the Wellness and conditioning guys to prevent injuries. Barnes' role is to misdiagnose and mistreat after the injury happens.

I get the apprehension on diagnosis/ treatment with Barnes and aside from taping ankles before practice, do you really think anyone or different training can prevent an ankle sprain?

Yeah, this hate for Barnes, Who virtually all players have praised, because a guy tears an ACL, sprains an ankle, or pulls a hamstring is just ridiculous. The strongest most flexible athletes in the world can have all those things happen to them and there was no way to know it would happen or prevent it. Maybe Barnes was to blame when Ezeudu got beat like a drum and his guy destroyed Jones' neck.

Probably not. I think some soft tissue/muscle injuries are preventable, maybe some joint injuries with proper stretching. And they have to have enough milk and ice cream to keep their bones strong :)

_____________
Really stupid comment. What can the training staff do to prevent an ankle injury? Send the player out wearing a metal brace? Training staff is responsible for TRYING to prevent injury before it happens and for getting the player back on the field. You can blame training/medical staff for not diagnosing Neal’s injury but you can’t blame them for Nabers ankle injury.

You can't blame them for not diagnosing Neal's ankle injury. He had x-rays (not sure about CT or MRI) that were read by a team doc (I assume it wasn't just by a radiologist). But I'll tell you from experience not every fracture shows up on an X-ray. A CT is better, and an MRI is the best, but some fractures can even be difficult to see on those scans.

You can't blame them? Why did they use the 3rd best diagnostic tool rather than the best according to you? And why would you assume a team doc is better at reading those things than a radiologist?

Rookie WR Malik Nabers left practice early. The Giants don’t appear overly concerned at this point.

Using a band to stretch is likely a cramp...so I ma sure Barnes caused the cramp.

A guy wouldn’t be hobbling around with a foot cramp lol…
Good luck getting that dude fired.

Is this serious? Thats exactly what would happen. Have you never had a muscle cramp before?
He did that in the scrimmage. He left and got an ankle taped vs the Lions.
So perhaps he tweaked it again.

If not competance then Barnes is a bad luck troll. How many injuries have the Giants had under his care over many years
