Not including the joint practices because there were 7-on-7 periods during those in both years, Daniel Jones has 205 attempts in 11-on-11 drills through the first 13 practices of camp this year. He had 157 attempts in 11-on-11 drills through the first 13 practices of camp last year. Drastic change in how Daboll is running camp in Year 3.
Regardless of how anyone projects the results, I don't think Jones is getting enough credit for a downright remarkable recovery. He the extreme aggressive end of his return window with no real limitations yet.

Agreed. IMHO, he isn't a good enough QB, but you cannot give him enough credit for his dedication and tenacity.
I hope the line can be good enough to at least give him time to launch bombs to Nabers and Hyatt.

It will be interesting to see how often and how hard he’ll go when he runs with it.

Maybe more often! He may feel like the pocket is a dangerous place.
No QB can do it on his own. And you put it simplest - we haven't seen Jones at his best. Nobody knows what that looks like yet (notwithstanding the group of BBIers who insist they do).

Jon Runyan Jr. and Jake Kubas have shoulder issues from yesterday and will be out today.
Evan Neal & JMS will enter team drills today👀. Neal 2nd team right tackle.

#Giants100 Daboll - can see how tracy's past as a WR helps him in the pass game

@DDuggan21
WR Malik Nabers (ankle) won’t practice again, but Daboll said it’s nothing long term. CB Dru Phillips (ankle) will also be sidelined again.
RB Dante Miller (hamstring) likely won’t practice today. TE Lawrence Cager will be “down for a while” with a groin injury. Daboll sounded very pessimistic about Cager’s outlook.

Nobody knows whether that's true or not. One can easily surmise Jones was at his peak in 2022 with better neck and knee health and playing alongside a top 5 running back.
If you're going to put an embargo on the fidelity of guessing, at least have the common sense to apply it your own.

Malik Nabers is outside and stretching with team. Not in full pads like rest of guys, and he won’t practice today, but Giants could get him back as soon as Thursday, at least in individuals. Smart to be cautious. Riding stationary bike with training staff as positions begin.
Cager being hurt and Jackson trying to play through injury trying to steal a spot on the roster.
Neal getting reps is huge- not as a possible starter but because he needs to get his feet under him and get some confidence back. I still see a William Roberts like resurrection coming with Neal.
I want to see more McKenzie, Robinson, Boykin on offense as the WR group is VERY young overall and needs some I have done this before VET leadership in the group.
Wanna see Jones with a solid practice today.

2022 had Slayton (bad hands version), Richie James, and the ghost of Kenny Golladay. Mid-season we poached Hodgins -- who immediately became Jones most reliable target.
Maybe consider stopping the inane right fighting; save a shred of credibility for the season.

LB Dyontae Johnson’s left foot/ankle is in a boot. Also I didn’t really see Evan Neal participate in the Giants’ OL/DL 2-on-2 stunt work just now, unless he did one early rep I didn’t see
Cager seems like a candidate for an injury settlement and then re-sign.
Once you do that, you can't re-sign him for a month or so.
I believe it is the term they agreed to (how many weeks the player is expected to miss) plus another 3 weeks after that so probably much longer than a month

Can't go to PUP once you start to practice. It would be IL and gone for season. Or cut and sign to PS.
