But a good showing today against a good team would be nice way to generate some excitement for the season (for me at least. Too many others already down after Jones play last week).
Daboll said they left WR Gunner Olszewski, TE Lawrence Cager, OL Jon Runyan, LB Micah McFadden, LB Matthew Adams, LB Dyontae Johnson, CB Cor’Dale Flott, CB David Long, S Gervarrius Owens and S Jonathan Sutherland back at their facility to rehab.
Daboll said QB Drew Lock won’t participate in team periods today as he ramps up.
Daboll said there’s no concern about Runyan for Week 1.
yet us still being a competitive team and getting 8-9 wins.
Daboll really wants to attack down field this year, you can tell by how training camp and the game against the Texans were.
Jones needs to take more chances and now has a viable top playmaker in Nabers to go with a nice combo of other targets. The RB by committee approach will also give the offense fresh legs late in games.
Our Defensive front will have to carry the load but I like 3/4 of our DB's a lot. CB2 seems to be the biggest weaklink.
Robert Saleh says he expects Jets-Giants to go about 75 plays today. Expects good work WR vs DBs. Likes the fact that both teams will get chance to go against someone else.
Light Giants practice today as they're shorthanded by injuries and preparing for tomorrow's joint practice with the Jets.
The biggest development: Tyler Nubin was the starting safety next to Jason Pinnock. Dane Belton rotated in, but you can tell where this is headed. Nubin had an interception on the last play of practice, but it was just a desperation heave after a clear sack of Daniel Jones.
Belton got some snaps as the nickel corner. Think we could see some three-safety packages this season.
Daniel Jones first pass in 7-on-7 drills a deep shot to Malik Nabers. Good coverage from …. Brandin Echols. He broke it up. Second attempt also to Nabers on a drag. Low. Bounced off his foot. DJ Reed in coverage there. #Jets #Giants

Giants offense vs Jets defense in 1st 11/11 period
Daniel Jones 5 for 5, 2 Nabers catches, Jones TD run
Mostly play action, misdirection, good ball fakes by Jones, short/intermediate throws, nothing vertical in fringe red zone area

Giants have no completions in their first 4 7-on-7 TEs on offense: two Jones targets to Nabers (one PBU, one bad throw), two DeVito (including a Stoll drop)
DeVito to Boykin, Jones to Nabers (who beat Sauce), DeVito to Hodgins (one hand catch) to bounce back for #Giants in 7-on-7
Jets offense has been completing toms of passes down the field on Giants defense in 7 on 7

Three reps for #Giants first-team offense in 7 on 7 drills. All three balls went from Daniel Jones to rookie WR Malik Nabers.
One incompletion, one drop(ish) off Nabers’ leg and the one rep vs #Jets Sauce Gardner, Nabers shakes free for big gain in middle of field.

Niiiice kick return by Ayir Asante. Love his game. Turned it up the left sideline to the house. He and Eric Gray were the first pairing up, followed by McKenzie-Tracy #Giants #Jets
What year was it really bad? 03?
Personally, I would like to see someone cold cock Rodgers. It would make my week!
They had a bunch of fights with the Panthers last week. No announcement on fines yet from the NFL.
excellent
Interested to see if Leonard Taylor makes the 53 for the Jets.

Let's see just how good this kid is at this point in camp.
It doesn't matter. Sauce will hold and the refs will look the other way
Yup. Double move him on the 1st play. He will hold and it won't be called. Just ask Jalin Hyatt.

That's awesome! Thanks for posting!
Asante #19 looks like he returned a kickoff for a TD
Thibs, Dex, Chapman, and Burns all looked good on 1 v 1’s

No value in 7 in 7's except to make the QB feel good. I hope they do 11 on 11s.

That sounds better
Jones sack (underneath to Singletary)
Singletary run for a little
Jones check down to Tracy
Screen to Singletary
Nice completion Jones to Theo Johnson on an out to left sideline, good blitz pickup by Singletary
A lot of Aaron Rodgers passes downfield complete on the other field

#Giants first O series vs #Jets (with ball moved forward each play regardless to create red zone scenarios):
Jones sack
Jones short pass to Singletary
Singletary run for nothing
Tracy a hard 5-ish yard run
Jones pass to Manhertz just outside goal line (walks in with no tackling)
