Really close call between Boykin and Hodgins. I thought Boykin showed

Enough as a WR to deserve to stay. Maybe the differences in the contracts had more to do with this decision.
JJ's head must be spinning

at the very least this seems to signify that blocking at the edge and run game and in PPro is pretty far up there in Daboll's and Bricillo's minds.
Tough life for these on-the-bubble players

I doubt this has impacted JJ

At all other than a few phone calls. I doubt he’s being asked to clean out his locker every time.

Bottom of the roster management is its own subject that fans don’t quite grasp.

I'm sure he's been told each time he'd be signed to the practice squad.
Question I’ve always wanted to ask; are PS guys eligible for signing

bonus $ with each cut / re-sign go around? Or are they paid strictly scale $ week to week?
His first name is pronounced like

it starts with a "Y", so how about"Yo-Yo" Jacob
Mildly surprising

Thought they'd want to stash Boykin for special teams. That's a vote of confidence for BFW who won that last WR spot. I would have guessed one of the three safeties they have on the practice squad.
Bottom of the roster vs PS

Is often based on factors or inside knowledge we don’t have access to.
That said both ILB Curtis Bolton and S Anthony Johnson are not clear decisions over PS guys.

I am guessing both will be replaced as some PS guys gain some experience and get healthier.

I didn't think so until Pugh last year. Pretty sure he had some nice playing time incentives for an off the couch guy.

I suppose they could be paid signing bonuses, but I can't imagine that any team would do that.
Looking at Anthony Johnson

I see he was a seventh round pick of the Packers, who started some games for them last year. The Giants signed him after he cleared waivers..
I assume it is him versus Owens for a roster spot. When Owens is healthy, I guess we will see.

Don’t count on Owens but we all should be excited to see what Johnson , both Anthony and Alex, can do on the field.
