6 times they met when Flores was the HC in Miami and Daboll was the OC in Buffalo. Daboll is 6-0 against Flores. I found that interesting as we face his defense this Sunday.
Daboll fed the ball to Singletary to rack up those wins?
Well, let's see:
Game 1 24-17 Josh Allen threw for 202 and 2tds
Frank Gore ran for 55, Allen 32, Singletary 26
Game 2 22-19 Josh Allen threw for 256 and 3tds
Gore ran for 27, Allen 56, Singletary 75
Game 3 31-28 Josh Allen threw for 415 and 4 tds
Allen ran for 19, Singletary 56, Moss 37
Game 4 56-26 Josh Allen threw for 224 and 3 tds, Matt
Barkley threw for 164 and 1 TD.
A. Williams ran for 63
Game 5 35-0 Josh Allen threw for 179 and 2tds
Singletary ran for 82, Allen 35, Moss 26
Game 6 26-11 Josh Allen threw for 249 and 2tds
Singletary ran for 28, Moss for 19, Allen 55
So 1 of the 6 was all Josh Allen, the rest seemed like a balanced attack between running and passing. What does that mean? Not much, but it shows that Flores hasn't been able to handle Josh Allen and his running ability and his running backs. My point is that with a similar QB style, i.e., one who can run and a balanced ground game, Flores has struggled to contain it. I know what your point is, I'm merely trying to show something I found interesting.
love stuff like this & think there's usually more in than many realize
styles make fights and when the key playcallers know each other this well it's interesting and notable.
below is a thread with a similar point id made re Sam Darnold vs the Shane Bowen type of defense. Kevin O'cconnell is going to need to hope both Sam Darnold and Brian Flores find a way to break the trends of their prior careers. Daboll has twice on the road had his team play pretty well vs O'Connell's too, at home this is very close to a must win for Daboll. If your team cant outscore sam darnold down a key weapon at TE, at home at pretty much full healthy, that's a big time yikes. Sam Darnold vs Dean Pees (& disciples) defenses - ( New Window )
the Bills scored over 30 as well. Interesting dynamic with how the Flores situation played out with the Giants. Not a good game for the Giants O to put up a stinker.

I wonder how much Flores sees this as a revenge game, and if the defensive players are with him on that. Luckily, since it's game 1, everyone on the Giants (and Vikings) should be max amped no matter what.
Daboll didn’t have jones starting for him in those games

I dont know. The feedback from Tua was pretty negative on Flores coaching style.
I hope he does considering how shitty that IDL is in minny.
