You're not going to get anything out of that question. He'll answer it politically discussing how he gets to focus on the big picture more.

about Daboll calling plays. One of the beats has to ask him the question, right?

Yeah, I definitely get that, but he was "promoted" to AHC in the off season, yet, has his play calling duties stripped from him.

Wanted to expand a bit on the "top 51" accounting that ends tomorrow. During the offseason, only the players with the top 51 cap charges count toward a team's cap space. But once the season starts, every players' cap charge counts toward the team's cap space.
So the Giants have $10.1M in cap space today, per the NFLPA database. Looks like they're flush with space. But here's how that will evaporate tomorrow:
• Players 52 and 53 on the active roster will start counting: $1.6M
• The 16-man practice squad will start counting: $4.1M
• All players on reserve lists will start counting: $6.6M
So just like that, the $10M is gone (and then some). This is a rough estimate because some of the players still counting on IR have reached injury settlements that haven't been processed yet by the NFLPA. But even when those are accounted for, a restructure is coming, whether tomorrow or as needed to afford in-season charges like practice squad elevations and signings to replace players who go on IR.
@DDuggan21
Finally the Adoree' Jackson contract details, per source: 1 year, $1.75M with $0 guaranteed. Jackson has a $1.5M base salary. He can earn another $250K total in per-game roster bonuses. The cap number is just $1.7M.
I'm told there are incentives tied to interceptions and playing time. Don't have those numbers yet, but they're classified as not likely to be earned since they don't count against the cap. So if he reaches them, they'll be happy to pay them since that means he'll have played well enough to be a starting corner.

#Giants100 Ghobrial on risk of using a starter on returns - "will never close the door on getting the ball in a playmaker's hands"....but top priority is ball security and must catch the ball well
#Giants100 Ghobrial - kickoff retuners could change every week, depending on the game plan
#Giants100 Ghobrial - learned the new kickoff is a very quick play.....returner who gets to the first line of players has the best chance to make a big play...and he needs to make smart decisions with the ball

#Giants100 Ghobrial - various weather conditions here will force you to make a wide variety of plans and you must practice them
#Giants100 Ghobrial - got to be ready for kickoffs that will be low and to the outside alleys ... expect to see more of those style of kickoffs
#Giants100 Ghobrial - ford wheaton has the right mentality.....and his WR skills help, too....goes into every rep like he is going to win it...he studies his tail off...wants to be great in any role he is given
#Giants100 Ghobrial - excited to see gano kick.. fully confident he can make his kicks at any distance...

#Giants100 Bowen - jad talks with AJax before he signed....ramping him up and excited to get him going....nature of the league is you have to get up to speed quickly to be ready to go
#Giants100 Bowen - wants the unit to attack in everything they do, at every level....each position has to attack in their part of the game.

DC Shane Bowen said defense is more about play style to him. “I want these guys to attack.”

#Giants100 Bowen - AJax is another chance to have competition and that is what guys need to improve....you always need to be pushing each other to find the best guys to put out there
#Giants100 Bowen - certain guys can play a ton of snaps; others you can see in the 4th qtr that they needed a break... trying to get ghys in condition enough sonwe have them when they are needed the most...games usually come down to the 4th qtr
#Giants100 Bowen - contstantly coaching guys to stay away from mistakes and penalties.. .a high pct of 15-yd flags turn into points for the other team....need to find the edge or the line you can go to
#Giants100 Bowen - thinks the new hip drop tackle rule will be a learning process, especially in the first few weeks
#Giants100 Bowen on red zone defense - takes all 11 down there.....dont want teams to run and passing windows must get tighter...and guys must use each other for leverage....must have mental toughness there to not worry about how the offense got there

#Giants100 Bowen - vikes run and play-action pass work well off the same look....darnold a good fit for their scheme
#Giants100 Bowen - found out after he got here how hard and energized dexter lawrence plays at that size....he puts the work in and always vocal and asking questions

#Giants DC Shane Bowen says both rookie Tyler Nubin and Dane Belton will have roles at safety for the defense this week (obviously with Jason Pinnock as a starter). Bowen said he likes how Nubin has looked the last few weeks since getting healthy

#Giants100 Kafka - want to stay aggressive throwing downfield and have faith in the WRs to make the play....WRs also need to make plays on a poor throw to break up the pass.
#Giants100 Kafka - getting all five starting OL together has been good and it is good for jones to work with them, too
#Giants100 Kafka om vikings pressure defense - they use multiple looks and groupings....communication is bggest key vs that style of defense

Every Giant practiced Wednesday. Only some minor injuries to worry about for Sunday including:
LB Micah McFadden (groin) - Was set to participate in team drills
QB Drew Lock (hip/abdomen) - Also was going to get some reps
S Dane Belton (back) - Tweaked something other day
@DDuggan21
CB Adoree' Jackson participated in 1-on-1 drills against WRs in the open portion of practice. I don't think Jackson will start on Sunday, but figure he'll be on standby if the young corners struggle.
I didn't see WR Gunner Olszewski or LB Micah McFadden participate in 1-on-1s. With Olszewski, my guess is he'll dress and be used as the returner. McFadden seems more questionable. Too early to say one way or the other.
@DDuggan21
Here's a deep in the weeds cap note: The Giants reached an injury settlement with CB Aaron Robinson for his entire $1.36M salary. That's very unusual because injury settlements are typically for a portion of a player's salary (i.e. the sides agree a player will miss four weeks with an injury, the team pays the player 4/18 of his salary and the team gets 14/18th of the salary credited back to their cap).
Checked into why the Giants did this injury settlement with Robinson. I was told it's because he was eligible for the Injury Protection Benefit (IPB), which is provided to players who suffer a severe injury that prevents them from passing a physical.
If Robinson was collecting the IPB, he'd be disincentivized to pass a physical and play for another team because signing a contract would eliminate the remainder of his IPB pay. The injury settlement allows Robinson to pursue playing for another team without risking what he is owed. There's a mutual benefit that if he signs with another team, his new salary will offset what the Giants owe from the settlement.
This is probably very confusing, but long story short: Robinson's entire $1.36M salary counts on the cap this year because that was the amount of his injury settlement.
