He sure looked sharp this past weekend against USC. Will be his first and last year as a starter. Comes from a nfl family and all scouting reports say he has elite arm strength but no body of work to judge him against.
Joe Burrow was an unknown until his last year at LSU. Will be interesting to see this kid play this year.
Yeah, Moss came out of that one looking better, and not just because of the W, but he was under constant duress against a speedy SEC defense, and for a Pro style QB, no easy feat.
Much better?
Nussmeier racked up an 87+ QBR. Miller was at 79.

Against USC, they have a pretty soft/weak defense. LSU is pretty tough. Moss looked real good honestly, I just think he is a little slight framed, and I’m not sure he offers much in terms of mobility (not that you need to be Lamar Jackson, but I think the ability to extend plays with your legs is huge). Miss certainly showed a quick release and was quick enough to dissect where to go with the ball though. I like both prospects. Will certainly keep my eyes on both this year.
Nussmeirer also played well but edge to Moss imv

Agree, Nussmeier was much better in the game. Not even close.

He made some NFL throws in that game outside the hashes that were impressive. Kid has some arm talent.
By the end of the season there will be 3 or 4.
Nussmeier was good with ball placement on scheduled throws, but I'm not sure if I see a playmaker there. To me he came off as more of a game manager/backup type at the next level.
Moss was efficient for most of the game, but outside of the big drive at the end I thought he looked pedestrian. He missed badly on a swing pass that would have been a gimme touchdown.
Both can be good college quarterbacks, but that doesn't necessarily equate to a high level NFL starter.
I prefer to actually watch a game and draw my conclusions.

I watched every snap of the LSU/USC game. I started a pre-game thread before kick-off and commented during the game.
So, your comment doesn't apply to me.

I watched the whole game, the eye test tells me that Moss looked better under duress and came up big at the end.

That's the thing, I watched the whole game to, and I don't think there's any doubt which QB was under more pressure. It seemed like Moss was dealing with more of an NFL pass rush and often had to get rid of the ball much faster than Nussmeier.
And on top of that, Nussmeier is playing with 2 blue chip offensive tackles. USC's defense played well, but they weren't pressuring the QB. If you can't take that into account, you are missing the big picture.
