I’m very confident in the group we have, but honestly we won’t know until we get on the field. Anybody can play when they’re up 20 and everything’s going right. But once adversity hits, once we hit pressure and there’s a sack or a bad play, how do we bounce back from it? I think that’s what makes the great lines. That’s what we’ll try to exemplify.” |
yeah, that's probably not something he'll need to worry about
They haven’t been scapegoats. They’re the #1 reason why this team has sucked for years. The QB is #2.

But I’d imagine what he’s referring to is that everyone, including the owner, has thrown the oline under the bus publicly. They haven’t done the same with the QB, who is 1B to the oline being 1A on the problem list.

They absolutely have not been scapegoats. I doubt Thomas thinks differently; he's just not a linguist in a post-practice interview.
2- He is really good and the owner regularly shits all over his unit in public while drooling over a mediocrity who is much worse than him
The team has had 2 exceptionally good players recently, one of whom is Thomas. The owner has a public love affair with 2 other players for non football reasons. Maybe Thomas doesn't care about any of that. But you could see it if he does.

Ezeudu played LT for a while. The Miami game at least.

What scapegoat means. While he personally hasn’t been a problem, the Giants offensive line has been one of the worst OL groups in the history of the NFL.

Yup. And I don’t think that goes unnoticed too.

For some reason, some athletes are treated more kindly than others.
I found that out when my OL coach tried his hand at OC the next year. It did not work out.
