John Mara would sell the remainder of his half to Steve Tisch.
So tired of listening to all his statements. Maybe he wants to be more like Jerry.
Just shut up and stop getting so publicly involved.
Tisch is around at times, but at least he doesn't seem to be meddling like Mara does.
The NFL rescued Wellington Mara by forcing George Young on him. That's not happening this time.
But I think John Mara is aware that this is his moment of crisis and he attempted to fix it with Schoen + Daboll. Will that work? Are they the right guys? That may depend on ownership as much as on the guys he hired. Some of the Giants' hires in the 70s had a lot of success elsewhere: Bill Arnsparger, John McVay for example.
I am not confident in the Mara family. I'm a little more confident in the Tisch family but I think they've mostly deferred to the Mara family over the years. I'd rather have one really good owner with a vision than a gaggle of owners who run the franchise like a family-owned deli.
But you know, hope springs eternal.
I hope ownership stays out of the way.
I hope Schoen and Daboll are the right guys.
I hope the team is ready to take off like Ray Perkins teams were.
I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.
The Eagles keep getting the players that matter while we dicker around and lose franchise players to other teams.

How many Superbowl have the eagles won in the last 10/20/30/40 years?
They had Andy Reid and didn't win a Superbowl.
Stop with the nonsense.
Lurie has own the since 1994 and has 1 super bowl, Roseman has been a GM for 10 years and has 1 SB.
I know most of you drool over the great front offices like the 49ers, eagles, cowboys and all their winning.
Last 30 years the have 1 SB combined.
I am 52 and have been lucky enough to witness 5 Giants SB and 4 wins yeah it's been a rough 14 years but SB are what matter.

True, but the goal should be to build an organization that can compete for a title most, if not all years - drafting well, waiver wire pickups, key free agent signings, etc. The good teams do that and sustain that. They don't turn into the laughingstock we have been for over a decade now.
I mean if we want to get technical, Ann Mara was the owner for the 2007/2011 Giants and we have exactly nothing at all to show for John's tenure.

He was president and CEO from 2005.
