We know how bad Daniel Jones and the offense looked, we knew going into the season they wanted to find Daniels replacement. He’s off the books at the end of the season and after today, not sure if there’s any reason to play him.
But maybe what I’m most disappointed about today is the play of Brian Burns. Jones is not supposed to be part of our long term plans, Burns is. Burns is being paid to be a TJ Watt type player. He’s at the beginning of a long contract. What we saw today was a guy who facing average at best offensive line could not generate any pressure going 1:1. He was not doubled, he never warranted it, he created nothing, he overcommitted on the run giving up a touch down, costly penalties:
This was a player chosen by schoen (unlike jones), if he does not significantly pick up his play this deal should he the reason why Schoen is gone after the year
One game against a mediocre opponent
Not exactly Stray and Osi off the edges.
Here's an honest question.
What has Schoen done that has made him any better than, say, post-2012 Jerry Reese?
Burns is grossly overrated. And Shoen gave up a lot for him.
Thibs did get that facemask penalty that kept a Vikes drive alive.
This isn't true
