This was a fair question to ask about Coughlin years ago.
I see several posters citing the Giants winning in 2007 and 2011 as a rebuttal to the question of whether or not Mara is fit to be managing co-owner of the team anymore. If Coughlin winning in 2007 and 2011 was not enough to save him in 2015, what can we say about Mara's leadership nearly 10 years later when the Giants have not come close to sniffing another championship and have only fallen deeper into basement of the NFL?
Would another member of the family even run things differently, i.e. let serious football people run things without influencing them?
He hired DG.
He hired Schoen.
And the game passed his father by before John got to high school. He inherited all that stuff from George Young and Ernie Accorsi.
This They needed the Tisch money to keep the franchise afloat. They were integral in Met Life which is all the new stadiums all over is the worse. They hire Sham GM after sham GM family members in the scouting area over and over.
Mata and Tisch suck
Now, he hires these guys and ultimiately is responsible but he's talking to people and getting recommendations.
This GM and HC had high marks coming in.
I'd really like to see the GM get a longer leash.
The HC - he's starting to lose me but he still has time.
Eli and Coughlin helped cover up a lot of warts for him. It made him look like a better owner than he is. Does he know what he is doing at all?
Quote:
Understanding the Mara line…he seems like he lets Schoen pretty much run the show …not sure I get how he is responsible for this mess
He hired DG.
He hired Schoen.
We all applauded the Schoen hire. He was not part of the good ole boy club and came from a successful organization.
Idiocy.
