The stadium emptied out with 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter. On a game where they were honoring their 100 year anniversary.
I'm sure some garbage cans felt Mara's wrath today. This might be the game where ownership finally gives up on Jones. Here's hoping...
As it should be.
Exactly - I’m embarrassed to wear any Giants apparel in public. I won’t do it anymore.

The reality is, that's not going to happen. More people are going to sell tickets to other team fans (even more than whats currently happening), since it will be pretty obvious if this continues that this is another lost season.
No reason to waste your time, and you can at least make up the cost of tickets somewhat while watching the game comfortably on your 65 inch tv, no battling traffic, your own bathroom, fridge and easy chair.
Players wants rings, not be recognized at some ceremony 15 years from now. They cant win here and they know it!
Everyone in this organization is tone deaf.
Gettleman and Ernie will be on the short list.
GoTerps is 100% percent correct. I was wrong. I assumed Mara pushed to give Jones the contract. Nope. The Daniel Jones contract is Joe Schoens and Dabolls doing. I was shocked when told, especially with how fast they moved to pivot away from him. It sounds nuts but it's true.

Gas up the plane.

Giants and Yankees, the Maras and Hal, are the same. As long as they are making money, all is fine in their world.
Let the peasants eat cake.
Yes, against a shit defense.
I want Jones gone now! Cut him or trade him, I just don't want him wearing that uniform again.
It's over Jones, you're finished! You will never get any support from me ever again. Get rid of him now!
My last root canal was better.
Before anyone says a word I don't care what you think of Pat Leonard because I agree with you.
He's a shit stirrer, he was the conduit for Wink and his leakers last year. He's got a look at me, click bait, self promotion agenda. Unlike the Schwartz's, Stapleton's or team employees like Dittino and the ex players on the payroll he's trying to use this job as a stepping stone.
He'll report any dirt he can find. But people in the Giants building talk to him anyway and he has no f's to give about who he pisses off reporting the ugly under belly at 1925 Giants Way.
With the state of the Giants the past decade plus I want a media person with his agenda instead of the usually Baghdad Bob's who protect their access to the owners at all costs.
We need to examine why we care about the 2020’s Giants until something really, really changes.
This is the worst team, organization and ownership in football.
I posted about this a couple weeks ago and it was kind of goofed at for it. This is exactly what I was worried about.
They need a new QB. Either this regime, or they are fired and whomever comes in will certainly get a QB.
Nope.
Mara is to blame for this entire mess.
Whatever their surname, the people at the top of the org chart know that this faceplant undercuts whatever plans they have. Is it Daboll's fault? Schoen's? Bowen's? Jones's? All or some of the above? Doesn't matter. This was unacceptable and actively harmful for the franchise. There have been good years and bad years, good games and bad games, but the accumulation of bad games and bad years is a big problem. The Jets, Mets, Yankees, Knicks, Rangers, Islanders and Devils are all more interesting. The Giants are about as interesting as the Nets.
No they're not John.
No they're not.

So it was Maye or bust. So in their eyes, there was no option to improve the QB room without Maye. I don't trust the Giants to make a competent QB decision.
While I don't disagree, that's where it starts and ends with ownership, IMO. If Schoen and Daboll have convinced ownership they can't win with him, I think they'll get more time with their own QB.

A lot more than Jones is at stake now.

I don't think some get just how catastrophic today was... for Schoen and Daboll.
I am done. The organization is trash. The last few years have been unbearable and the worst part is nobody up top giving a shit to completely blow it up and start from absolute scratch. I'm not paying to watch this garbage anymore.
My dad and I watched the game today and we just looked at each other and said "we're done." Sad day, but I'm not supporting a team that continues to make shit decisions and expects fans to pay a small fortune on season tickets in a shitty stadium. I called my cousin today and will be transferring the PSLs to him. Peace out Gmen. It was fun mostly while it lasted.

I must be in that boat, but maybe it's just Daniel Jones blinders on. I couldn't get over how bad the QB play was that I didn't notice the rest of the team where I feel like Schoen/Daboll are on the hot seat...yet.
If they keep trotting Jones out there week after week if he keeps putting up clunkers, then yeah I think they are hot. And that's when I think Mara will notice if there is half empty stadiums.
I'm not sure how much you could hear on TV, but:
- boos started the first drive of the game
- clear "Tommy Cutlets" chant in the first half
- too many bronx cheers to count
- many people actually left in the 3rd quarter
It was a joke there today. And the fans made it clear to anyone in the building that there's frustration as we've seen this before. None of Daboll's "this is a new year/new team, things don't carry over". He needs to figure things out fast.

I hope it truly was. We're not going anywhere with them running the show.
Are you pat Hanlon?

I was told that Giants brass was very confident in a win today this morning. I'm not a Pat Leonard hater. He's usually got good sources within the team. But my guy is part of the organization. They thought they were gonna win

Idiots then.
But I assume there was Kool Aid to drink that the Maras were servicing too.
Even still, I would have liked to see them have a chance to develop a rookie but now the argument is mounting against them that if a rookie is coming it would be a selection by a new coach and GM.
They’ve been embarrassed for years, I’m sure they’re numb to it by now.

Why would the coaches tell people in the building to expect a loss? I’ve never heard such a thing in public from a staff. Are they planning to tank for a QB?
Quote:
You have no idea what ownership cares about. Yes, we suck. This is just as likely killing Mara slowly as it is not caring...
Whole family. They are the reason. The only constant
Nope.
Mara is to blame for this entire mess.
Daboll has now opened the season with 41-0 and 28-6 losses both at home. I don't care who the players are, that's unacceptable. Schoen built this disaster.

this afternoon was a realization of my fears on draft night.
Rinse, wash, repeat.

And that's the case even if BB were not out there.
IMO we will look back at today as a hugely consequential day for the future course of this org.
