Is expressing what many of us already knew. Which was; that DJ is not good as a Giant. That does not mean he will not go to another franchise and be a contributor. New York is a very tough place to perform; ask Zach Wilson. Watching the game today it’s painfully obvious that he’s overthinking out there. It’s almost as if he’s stuck in survival mode after all the hits he’s received. Makes me feel really bad for the kid. He’s a great kid but he’s got some mental issues inside the pocket that do not allow him to go through his reads. If the first read is not there he immediately goes into scramble mode, but it’s a blind scramble; sometimes he’ll scramble right into pressure. He’ll also force the ball to the first read without even looking at the defenders. It’s really really bad BUT it’s not his fault; Mara said, ‘we’ve done everything to mess this kid up,’ now I’m seeing what he meant.
I’m in favor of moving on to Lock or Devito. The Giants need a guy under center whose internal clock is not damaged. As for Jones; he needs some time away from the spotlight and some time to heal. Not all wounds are physical. Daboll needs to make this change if he cares about his job, this team and especially one Daniel Jones.
Lastly, the saying once a Giant always a Giant DOES NOT apply to jerkrabbit.
Exactly, he's been retired, but he doesn't know it yet.
