This is the main takeaway I have watching the Giants since 2017. It feels like they're playing a totally different sport than the rest of the league. You watch other games and it feels like whenever a team needs a score, theres a high probability they will go down and get it. It feels like if you gave the Giants 4 quarters to score a touchdown it would still be like pulling teeth for them to actually get it done.
It's been a decade since I felt like if the Giants absolutely needed a score, they would get it.
For instance watching the Lions game tonight. I had zero doubt they would go down and get a field goal or touchdown to tie it, and was very confident they would get a touchdown to win it in overtime.
The New York Football Giants feel like they're playing a different game than every other team besides the Panthers.
Anyone who actually thinks Daniel Jones is capable of doing anything at a high level needs their head examined.
No matter how easy offense looks for other teams year after year, every year it seems like it gets more difficult for the Giants to score
The Giants occasionally get a first down between penalties and punts.
I'm exhausted, not so much from the losing but from how the Giants don't seem to field an NFL team. For years at a time. They look like UAlbany playing Georgia.
The one common thing they have all said for the past few years is they don't think Jones is a good QB.
I'd be surprised if they won 2 games this year. Just put your pumpkin coins against them, it's easy coin.
And that is what we are dealing with. The Giants have been 100%committed to starting a backup caliber QB. There is a lot of other stuff we can say about the team. But that's the foundation. In roster construction we are playing from so far behind that it is impossible to compete.
I really don't even care about the team anymore beyond tradition and muscle memory. I hate how this team plays.
Why not give Lock an opportunity in the 4th quarter? They could just say DJ had a sore neck or whatever.
I really hope Lock plays next week, if (when) DJ plays poorly again.
Maybe, just maybe Lock or DeVito could provide a spark.
People can keep blaming everyone else but the coach and the talent looks comlletely different with just a ckmpetent QB
It can no longer be argued. Jones is shot.
My hot take? On short to intermediate plays, Jones is too dumb and inaccurate to hit players in stride, he only sees them when they are done with their routes and are standing still. He is the one that is making the offensive plays look horrible.
And he is physically incapable of consistently throwing downfield. His arm strength is mediocre and he’s inaccurate, a bad mix.
Seems like we have all choir boys outside Dex. I mean yesterday I saw Jordan Phillips wallop guys left and right for the cowboys and he couldn’t even make our team?🤷♂️
Ok again anything they do is going to look bad because of Jones, if they had the same gameplan eith a competent QB are we complaining about Daboll? no
Perfect example is the Jets, they look like a hot mess with Wilson and Hackett, if tonight Rodgers throws 3 tds and the kffense is humming, does that mean Hackett all of sudden called a good game?
I haven't felt that way for 10 years about the offense.
There's a 10 year streak where the offense was Odell or Saquon...and that's it.
Yesterday's offense was painful to watch. They were a hopeless, helpless unit.
It seems like everything that he does is reactive and extremely late. No natural progression in his reads, and even when he selects the right target, the throw is a full second too late. Zero anticipation.
I haven't re-watched any of yesterday on TV (and I likely won't because I like myself too much to endure it), but this really jumped out to me in person yesterday in a way that seemed far more severe than prior performances I have watched on TV.

Yep and he looks much slower than ever on the move
