I don’t know who to blame for that. But in that cut up, it is PAINFULLY obvious. My lord, how has someone not caught that cadence earlier. Well, it appears everyone but DJ or the staff has…
And if you go back and look at the past 10 years worth of OL sack stats, one could argue that the NYG OL play was the scapegoat for the end of Eli's career (where he was basically a statue that would fall down if someone got near him) and DJ (who never met a pocket he didn't drift out of).
I'm not saying that the OL was full of All-Pro, Worldbeaters...but...the QBs made them historically bad.
He doesn’t even start his wind up until the receiver is open and by then it’s too late. He also is not seeing the better option and throwing into covered receivers when there are open guys running routes. He’s been destroyed by poor O-line play and is no longer a viable option at QB. Additionally, I think his knee injury has thrown off his mechanics because his accuracy is way off.
This is painful to watch. I had to stop after a while.
Did anyone watch any other games yesterday and see what QBs are doing in terms of quicker decisions, anticipating breaks, accuracy and putting balls in tight spaces with a rush in their face.
The idea that anybody should be starting Daniel Jones in NFL games is ludicrous. Not even sure he qualifies for being a backup QB at this point.

This is one of my main views: since 2013, the Giants have served more as a reputation management firm for the QB than a football team. I'm glad both former players (Brandon Jacobs) and current players (Thomas) have finally started to call out the scapegoating of the OL for sustained below-average QB play.
Nice guy, but I can't fucking believe in the 6th year this guy is still here.
But he has also added :
....bounce, bounce....tap,tap....curveball in the dirt......at the feet of WR...

6 years and close to 200 million just thrown in the fucking dirt like one of his trademark checkdowns to a wide open running back.
It's truely mind blowing considering some of us realized he wasn't it after year 2...

I went to play golf yesterday but watched this before I went to sleep.
Not much pressure and had time to find players. The usual Jones way of locking onto your first read and not reading anything but that.
It’s hard to believe it’s year 6 and he’s still making the same mistakes on a regular basis.
None of the passes he threw hit any of the receivers in stride. This kid is finished here
And this includes that dolt Francessa who said in his podcast rant that the OL didn't give Jones a chance.
In fact, I can make a strong case that Jones ran into 3 of the 5 sacks because of his lack of awareness.

That being said the line was not good which is not a surprise and the playcalling was awful

Year 6.
