How do you know Gunner should have been placed on IR to return?
Do you have access to his medical records to make that determination?

I said it two weeks ago when they played the Jets in the preseason. McKenzie was playing the whole game, returning points and being a wideout. He wind up getting hurt and it screws us because Gunner was already hurt..

How do you go into a preseason game and play your only punt returner in a meaningless game is maddening. This coach is in way over his head.

How is it that even when you have a healthy returner, there is not a designated back up. Slayton was thrown in there and expectedly so missed. Every time I turn around, I'm coming to another realization that Daboll is a problem

Not a good enough reason to start the season without another option for punt returner IMO.

...and ending up on IR? Does Carter Coughlin continue to get paid at his elevated salary or does he revert to the practice squad scale? I think the difference, over the remaining 17 weeks, is more than a half-million.

Players like Gunner don't want to lose their job so they go and play less than 100%, it is sad but a reality of the game.
