Guys were open and Jones missed, not everything on Jones but he left a lot of plays out there, especially on the last 2 minute drill before the half Link - ( New Window )
was the biggest issue to me from the QB. There was a cpl dropped passes, that while not great throws, were good enough and should have been caught. second was the skittishness in the pocket which was not nec. as the Oline did above competent/ decent good job in pass pro. run blocking needs to improve. I only watched the first half of the all 22.
There was some missed reads, but Flores really did a good job flooding the back end and keeping everything muddy. the defenders were driving down on quick game stuff immediately.
There was a lot of guys in coverage and they mostly brought only 4 rushers. We went heavy and kept guys in to block. so we had 3 guys out in routes vs 6/7 guys in coverage.
They needed to run the ball into that defense (which seemed to be the initial plan, but they also should have thrown a few deep balls. regardless of coverage, no checks, no changes, just 3 verts and huck it.
The OLINE was encouraging
and Dex is awesome.
The safties played pretty well too
He's broken, like David Carr broken. Our offensive line broke him.
The drop off from functional Daniel Jones to broken Daniel Jones was never that steep.
Disagree here. He got us to the playoffs with a crappy roster. He wasn't a top five guy, but wasn't this. Agree that he may be broken.
He is mentally broken but he may also be physically broken. Others have talked about changes to his throwing motion, that certainly wouldn't help matters. Either way, he should retire, he wasn't that good to begin with and he is getting worse.
His accuracy, decision making, hesitations, everything about him is broken. He may be the best QB on the team right now, but he is awful and we know he is awful.
At least with DeVito, he is still very early in his career and you can hope that the light bulb goes on with him. Maybe Lock, and I don't know, but I suspect he is as broken as Jones.
Play DeVito, maybe you can develop him, maybe his limit is as a backup, but man that is better than what we have now.
And for gods sakes, get somebody else next season.

I'd argue Barkley got the team to the playoffs with a crappy roster.

No one broke him. He was never a great QB to begin with.
