The guys in the locker room know Jones sucks so this isn’t surprising at all. Jones might be a good dude and teammate, but this is a results oriented business. And I bet there are guys who are peeved that they were thrown under the bridge directly or indirectly by the powers that be about Jones’ previous play. Thomas came out last week and didn’t seem to be happy about the OL being the scapegoat for the offensive woes. I’m sure he knows about Mara’s quote about how bad the OL was last year when John was defending Daniel’s ‘23 play.

It's hard but the definition of being a good teammate is supporting him as much as you can.

When they gave Daniel Jones that ridiculous contract last year. It was the most gargantuan "participation trophy" in the history of sports. This is just a continuation of the locker room resentment to allocating twenty percent of the cap to a backup player. No one is running through brick walls for Daniel Jones.

What's the over/under on him moving out of the NYC area after he's finally cut? 5 minutes?

In not making a change at QB. He risks losing the locker room here, which would be all but the end for him.

Vs Washington for a couple of reasons:
Historically, he’s done well vs them
The optics of changing a QB after 1 week is terrible
John will not want this quick a hook on his “Face of the franchise” because it would embarrass him.

I don’t believe in mediocre to poor DJ is there anymore. I will be very surprised if he’s any better this week.
In fact, if he’s horrid the first half, Daboll should put Lock in “as a spark”.
If Lock plays “better”, he can then “rationally” make the change. That would hold the locker room and improve the atmosphere surrounding the team. Right now, it’s down in the dumps.

Yeah, I'll be surprised if he plays well. I thought he was going to play well against the Raiders in his return last year, because he typically does his best in low-intensity road envrionments or domes, yet he looked bad before his acl injury. I think he's flat out cooked.

He is on a very short leash. If he never plays another down I couldn't care less. However, the losing the locker room shit is annoying. Maybe the losing the locker room crowd should look in the mirror and critique their crappy, listless, poor and uninspired play. When LT told Banks at half time that he could pick 22 former honored players that were at the game and produce a better effort. What an indictment of the whole Giant organization from the owner on down.

This 100%. Players on losing teams won't get PAID as well as players on winners. And these players have a short time in the NFL. They need to win, and if they decide Jones is the problem, then they will start playing for themselves and make "Business" decisions.

And forget about the "company line" from players like Hyatt. Players HAVE to follow the corporate line ("We're all behind Danny"). That does not necessarily indicate how they really feel.

+2. He's costing other players money. And not just contract money. Endorsement money as well. Players on winning teams tend to earn more from both.

The OL was horrendous last year. DJ is done, but that doesn’t absolve the OL from well deserved criticism.
