Pac-12 adds four teams from the Mountain West

Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Colorado State will all join Oregon State and Washington State in 2026.

What's happened to the PAC-12 . . .

is appalling, and it's their own "sit on their hands" fault. I've been on the west coast since 1991 . . . Never thought I would see the day that Rutgers (my alma mater - grew up in Essex County) play at the LA Coliseum against SC. The game is on October 25.
I'm curious who they manage to get for the last 2 spots.

Likely they will also come from the MW conference, but then that will put the MW at 6 needing 2 more teams.

I thought Oregon St and Wash St would just join other conferences, figured PAC-12 was just going to die.
Odd that they took Colorado State over UNLV

unless UNLV is still trying to get into the Big 12 or is too cheap to pay the buyout. In either case I'd guess the Pac-12 is waiting to see the fallout of the ACC situation before trying to poach some teams there.

But I believe the big hurdle for the Pac-12 is still the TV deal, no?

Plus the NCAA is likely not to recognize a 6 team conference as an automatic qualifier for the playoffs....which is where the real money is. They should just merge the entire Mountain West and PAC 12.
Weird for the Pac-12 to have no Los Angeles teams.

But there are no more top CFB programs in the area. It's not like Loyola Marymount is going to be a football power.
A few people guessing they really want Stanford and Cal back

Not sure how that would even work unless there's an exodus from the ACC.
