And daughter than a nice dinner with the family like we have done for 20+ years.
Win or lose it's been a tradition for 50+ years in my family.
If you take losing that hard you should probably find an enjoyable hobby like apple picking
Games from 1 to 4 stars:
4 stars - must see
3 stars - close matchups
2 stars - for diehards
1 star - always something different like the comments above
a memorable one, and appropriate for Sunday: "enjoy fall foliage"
Buddy who moved to Brooklyn this spring scored last minute tickets to see Bruce @ a music festival in Asbury Park that night so I'll probably catch the game @ some sports bar down the Shore. I'm not looking forward to it (talking about the game, not Bruce. I can't wait to see Springsteen!)

Damn, that's awesome. That will be a great show. I just saw him in Philly, still performing at a high level. 30 song setlist!
Yep. I am taking the highs and the lows and rolling with it. It's Giants football. I'm not missing it. I did under Joe Judge once I realized he was a doofus, but I'm a different person now and it's important to me to watch. I watched on a black and white TV with no picture and just sound as a kid, mainly because my father was a lunatic, but this will always mean something to me.
but I just added Red Zone and I'm already thinking of cancelling it.
I'm not "done" as a fan but I'm exhausted and tired of giving my time and energy to something that doesn't give me any fun back.
I have been a fan since 1955 and have lived through some of the most horrific, ugly football you can imagine! I will always be a fan and I will continue to believe the Giants can win any game they play. You have no idea what is was like being in Vietnam and waiting for the Stars and Stripes to come so you can see the scores, that was agony!
It'll be easy to pick a half bushel at halftime given the number of trees in the yard. Like many, I have been a fan since I was old enough to have a team an now its 50+ years. Strikes and gutters. No matter the chaos and trepidation, there is plenty to see each game, especially the younger/newer players.
On Sunday. All the sudden they are 1-1 with a winnable game at Cleveland up next (they will probably lose that one though).
All we can hope is that week 1 was an aberration. Week 1 is essentially a preseason game now. Teams change drastically over the course of the season. Giants are a young team, Jones was in his first game off an ACL. The season is far from over. Talk to me about apple picking when they are 0-6, and even then I’ll still watch and look for glimmers of hope for the future (Nabers, Burns, Banks, Nubin, Phillips, Theo, etc)
apple picking (what other industry has you pay them so you can do the work they would normally have to pay someone to do) or
feeling the narcissistic need to announce to a community that you care so little about the team that was the catalyst for you to joining the community that instead of watching the team play one of their 17 games you will pay people for the privilege of letting you do their work for them.
