Some notable games, though not a great slate. I'm sure I'm missing some so feel free to chime in on our games to tune into.
'Bama @ Wiscy.
LSU @ South Carolina.
BC @ Mizzou.
Oregon @ Oregon State.
ND @ Purdue.
A&M @ Florida.
Georgia @ Kentucky.
Obviously will be keeping an eye on the usual suspects @ QB.
& for the love of God, ND better fucking win. With the Giants season all but DOA, the Irish better give me a glimmer of hope going into October @ least. Hey Riley Leonard, maybe throw a TD pass sometime this season? Between him & DJ, Duke QBs might finally break me...in the words of Billy Joel-in one of his worst songs-'Rock & roller, cola wars, I can't take it anymore!'

I know it's early, but do you see any QB prospects at the level of the QB's NYG passed on in April (Penix, McCarthy, Nix). I know there are always late risers, but does it look like those level prospects could be available?
I'm not those guys, but I want to answer anyway. I think there are 5-6 prospects in that range. Beck, Ewers, Dart, Ward, Milroe to start. This is going to be a good QB class
Add in the LSU kid, the USC kis, Gabriel on Oregon. There are a bunch of good QBs

That's good to hear. I know the projection was it would be weak a few months back.
I wasn't a fan of those 3 guys (I know you liked McCarthy a lot. I liked McCarthy too, but was wary of drafting so early with such limited game tape).
This may be unpopular, but I will say that I'd gamble on Ward, Ewers, Beck, Milroe and even Allar over guys like Penix and Nix. I just don't see a lot of potential and room for growth in those two guys. Seems like their ceilings are very much capped.

and you know what give Archie a few more starts and he'd there too. The guy just threw on the run a 40 yd pin point pass. This kid will be a top pick when he plays

Ward is playing out of his mind.
I love Milroe's game. He's going to require some work on his passing, but he runs like he could rule the Serengeti.
He has driven me insane as a PSU fan...
However, Kotelnicki has done some nice work so far. Let's see if it continues.
Kentucky is pushing around this Georgia DL...
Maybe I am getting you mixed up with Section 125.
And Allar is a guy I can see the Giants drafting just not in round 1.

Texas. I am just laughing at FSU. I think FSU and FL should play every week against each other as their penance for being so bad. I think Section and crooza are the FSU fans

Monken went to the Ravens two years ago.
Tough physical game in a great environment
Love these type of games
Kirby bringing back someone he played with at Georgia.
Knowing that and the legit possibility you will not get the ball back, why would you even think of punting the ball from the Georgia 45. You give yourself a chance to get it and if you don't you still can get it back by stopping them. Two first downs is the equivalent of a touchdown.
All punting did was give them one less chance at winning the game. Makes no sense. It had very little value at that point.

I was very high on him coming out of high school.
But he's not an NFL QB to me. Robotic, not mobile, has good arm strength but dreadful accuracy on deep balls and just doesn't process anything quickly.
I know he's still young, but I am permanently off that bandwagon
Absolutely mind numbing to punt there. One first down and you are in field goal range!!!!!!!!!! You do not punt it

You don't have to remind/sell me on Allar's issues. I just haven't been able to determine how much of the issues or Allar and how much is the lousy coaching.
Kotelnicki was a good hire as the new OC thus far. He did some great work at Kansas and Allar has shown some growth. So, let's see how he performs when PSU gets into the meat of their schedule.
Conference Championship?
Sorry
Fucking morons. Amazes me that people being paid millions of dollars make decisions like that.
Conventional wisdom is often wrong.
I need to see him look like this as a passer over the course of the season week in and week out before i totally jump on the bandwagon but there's a lot to like based on his tape this year. Wisconsin kind of sucks.
Milroe was wildly inaccurate as a passer before this year. That Jalen Milroe I want no part of. But it's certainly possible he has fixed that part of his game. New coach and new offensive coordinator more importantly. Tommy Rees did not do a good job with him helping to fix his weaknesses, perhaps DeBoer has been able to do that.
He's got a big arm which you can't teach and crazy athleticism which you also can't teach. If his mechanics and footwork are fixed look out could be a top 10 pick
Yeah but even more than that, he's charismatic. Some people have those qualities but sound robotic when they speak. Milroe has an energy to him.
4th and goal from the 1, down 5 with 102 to go, clock stopped. You have all 3 timeouts. You have plenty of time on the playclock to figure out a good play (these types of situations you shouldn't even need to think of a play, it should be automatic what play to go to on 4th and 1 in that end of game situation, the play should already be picked out for that during the week if that scenario happens.
What does Fisch do? He calls timeout. Mistake #1. You should not need any time to discuss what play to run. Took away any chance of winning if you don't convert on 4th and 1. The value of using a timeout to set up a good play is far less than the value of having all 3 timeouts and WSU on their own 1 yard line. If you dont call timeout and dont get the first down you're most likely going to get the ball back with about 40 seconds to go and probably the 40 yard line or so in WSU territory.
Mistake #2. He has an immobile Wil Rodgers. What does he decide to do? Let's run the speed option out of shotgun to the short side of the field, they'll never expect it! What happens? Rodgers looks like he hasn't run the option play his entire life and the play is blown up, he pitches it around the 3 as he's running out of room because it's the fucking short side of the field, he waits way too long to pitch it and he basically leads the RB out of bounds and he gets hit at the 3 and obviously doesn't get in. On top of that they actually have a legit running QB who they ran 3 times in a row on that same drive that set up first and goal. But he stays on the bench.
I have no idea why these coaches lose their minds and do the dumbest shit in big spots. He seemed more interested in trying to fool the defense than he was just moving them off the ball and getting in the endzone with their running back.
I will say the effort by the tight end on 3rd down to score was absolutely pathetic. That's not going to be pretty for him when they watch that on tape. He had a pretty good shot at scoring if he puts his head down and extends the ball, instead he makes zero effort to turn upfield towards the pile on to extend the ball and just goes out of bounds. Biggest play of the game and you just go out of bounds so you don't have to take a hit instead of trying to get a touchdown?
After a first game blowout, Jim Mora does have the kids playing hard.
The act he portrays is fucking embarrassing and a turn off for college football. People thinking he’s about Colorado Football are absolute fools. He cares about 3 things.
1. Deion Sanders
2. Shaduer Sanders
3. Travis Hunter
He could care less about anyone and what happens to that team. It’s getting to the point where it’s puke worthy. God I wish Colorado was in the big 10 or SEC. Watching them lose by 40 each week would be the best thing to look forward too every Saturday.
But props for that buddy 😀
If Deboer can improve Milroe the way he did Penix, watch out. He's a far superior athlete. Alabama's problems are depth at receiver and both lines.

I take it you saw what he was doing last night to Colorado St?
Up 28-9 with two minutes to go and with the ball, he had Shurmur calling passing plays for Shadeur. It was a very bad look and classeless.
He’s a god damn side show. Watch every interview when they play..
“If we get a run game…. If we block… if we get stops…”
“I have the QB, I have number 2, I have Travis…”
God damn repulsive.
But props for that buddy 😀
Sugar Mommies

The ACC Championship will be the test?
Indiana kid?
I saw some of that game. His HC Curt Cignetti was very praiseworthy of Rourke. Cignetti is in his first year from JMU and passed on bringing his JMU QB Jordan McCloud with him. And McCloud was great in 2023.
Rourke is a transfer in from Ohio University where he put up modest #s. So, I would say we need to see more performances before we have a good read on him.
Has good size and a nice arm - it seems.
