We all know the Giants have a major talent deficiency at quarterback, and that this year will be an exercise in development and survival despite Jones.
The Giants are breaking in a new defense, and trying to survive on offense with arguably the worst starter in league.
The worst thing now would be to win a 20-17 type game. The people running this team are dumb enough to think that could signal a turnaround.
This is such a dumb take. So, a 20-17 win would do it. Signaling a turnaround is all they need. Not even a thought about the remaining 15 games. They wouldn’t even look at any of that. 20-17 and it’s Jones for the next three years.

Totally agree. They were looking QB last year and will be this year.
Basically they’re easing him back in..last week they focused on interceptions and not getting into the endzone..hopefully today they focus on at least one TD..then add one per week til October…

Gano didn't look comfortable at all during warmups. Wincing after most kicks. He then cut his warmup short and jogged off the field. Punter Jamie Gillan is now taking warmup field goals. Who could have seen a kicker with a groin injury being a problem?

Wellington Mara used to call a successful season one that had meaningful December games. At this rate, I’ll take meaningful games in late September.
Rapoport said the organization still has confidence in Jones. that game 1 was basically his first game back because he didn’t really have a preseason (not sure that that means). and that the team thinks getting his confidence up early is the key

I'm getting really tired of them getting burned by completely foreseeable scenarios that literally anyone else could have predicted. It's next level incompetence and it's across the entire organization.
