But do we really want that? I'm honestly still torn. It's still way early in the season. I also do think we'll improve towards the end (the usual slow and unprepared start by Dabes). And I also do think the QB's in college are turning out to be a very interesting bunch... so much so that we'll have decent choices, WHEREVER we pick. But the cerebral side of me wants to have the absolute best shot at the top two or three signal callers. While the diehard fan in me still wants to cheer on, and for the team to do well. Ugh...
And we lost to them.
We are far away from competing in the NFCE.
Other teams we play will begin to double Nabers. Who’s our next option?
We have a bad team imv

They need to get Hyatt on the field
If Hyatt is a threat in passing game he would be playing
that the Giants are not good and are not on a path to being good. Frustration is committing to a backup QB for an unprecedented amount of time. Frustration is not having any coherent organizational strategy. Frustration is every coach self-destucting in his 2nd or 3rd year (the next one probably will too)
Washington is one of the worst teams in the league. We played a coin toss game against them. We could have won, but we'd still be the same shitty organization with a shitty team that is going nowhere.
Every few years we will have a season where we win most of the games like this and we sniff the playoff mix. But losing the game is not the problem. Being bad is the problem.
drop at a critical point of the game but no. Giants D could have bailed him out.
WFT scored on every possession outside of one drive (one play drive before the half). Every other drive was at least 8 plays ending in points. No turnovers.
Giants O should have had 30 plus points with a little D imv. The HC disaster has already been discussed.
RE: In a season where tanking is the logical thing to do
I'm glad fans are still upset when we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Tanking is the logical thing to do? Assuming when you say "tank" you mean the players, coaches, and everyone else involved shouldn't try very hard to win? If not, please explain.
Is it then logical for all the other 0-2 teams to tank?
Cowboys lose to Ravens, Washington loses to Bengals, and Eagles Saints could go either way. I hope the Eagles lose, but the Saints have to lose evetually. More importantly, the Giants will beat the Browns. Worst case sceanaro for me, Giants are tied at 1-2 with DAL and WSH, and 1 game behind PHI. All is not lost.
RE: In a season where tanking is the logical thing to do
After being told by a doctor they're on the verge of having a heart attack. Sometimes no amount of future pain can dissuade a person to change course when they're so obsessed with short term gratification.
only a bbi would it not be a good thing to sit in 1st after years of
being nowhere close. yes the commanders stink but at home anyone can win. the eagles lost at home to a very mediocre falcons team and the cowboys got boat raced at home to a new orleans team that hasnt made the playoffs in years.
you know the best way to stop being a losing franchise? winning more. and certainly not beating ourselves playing without a kicker and without a defense.
It’s a simple statement of fact. Well, not the Nabers drop necessarily ….
We can all justifiably feel the way we want, season over after week 1 etc, but the bottom line is win that game, they are winning the division right now. No more, no less.

I’m one of the idiots that wants to win games, and doesn’t see many dominant football teams in the NFL.

These are addicts who need a quick fix or else they have bugs crawling on their skin all week.
When you don't even make a team punt once in the game

The 2023 Washington Tankers just beat the 2023 NY Non-Tankers with a QB drafted because of their...
Would being tied for the NFC East lead after two weeks at 1-1 really be something worth mentioning?
And to put the loss on the best offensive player they have, weak shit. Just pitiful stuff.
Anyway, it won't matter in a few weeks when they're 0-6 and the Eagles are in town.
Finally a Giants fan with intelligence. It's only two games and you're talking about possibly leading the division? Who cares, it's the closest we will ever get. Enjoy the mediocrity

tanking.
Does that explain it enough for you?
No, it does not. I'm not clear on when, based on your idiot logic, a team should start tanking. Sounds like the suggestion is to tank now, two games into the season. If that's your position, then its not a stretch to think that all nine 0-2 teams should tank too, no? I mean, the season is already over so why try? Just think about the draft pick we'll get if we lose every game on purpose!
It was a tie game. Why is there an assumption the Giants both score and run out the clock, when they had to score a TD?
Please stop this nonsense.
Exactly. Blaming Nabers is asinine. If it weren’t for Nabers they’d have likely been shutout
It is really ironic that a poster who has never viewed Daniel Jones as a primary reason this team has been losing for years and years starts a thread blaming Malik Nabers for losing on Sunday. For dropping a pass, that had he caught it, would have kept the game 18-18.
he was the entire engine of offense. his drop shouldnt have meant anything more than a 3 point lead turning into a 6 point lead and washington needing a td or losing.
they should be in first place despite his drop and singletary's fumble and a nonexistent defense and crappy special teams.
Don’t be frustrated. We are only 2 games into the season.
The amount of stupid things that this team will self-inflict on itself will soon become too long to list out. Schoen, Daboll & Co. have only scratched the surface thus far.
I also love that some of you are already monitoring the divisional race. How meaningful.
Who wants to be the first one to start the thread after the first Giants victory filling us in on how many games out of the wild card we are? Do me a personal solid though and please begin the title of it with “Don’t look now but…” because that will be the place to find some of the most comical posts of the season.
Please stop this nonsense.

Yes, Nabers needs to catch that ball, I won't argue that, but when I ask myself why we lost this game, the drop is low on the list.
We are far away from competing in the NFCE.

We have a bad team imv
Eagles at Saints
Ravens at Cowboys
Commanders at Bengals (MNF)
Could be looking at three losses right there by the division. Get a win and it's all 1-2 across the board.

Not elevating a kicker when your starter appears on the injury report the day before is what lost the game.
This might possibly be the dumbest post ever written.

WFT didn't punt and they won the TO battle.
That Phillips penalty on the Burns sack was one of the biggest horseshit calls you'll ever see.

In the building, management will again lie to themselves, believing like in 2022, the Giants are back.

There is zero chance that will be the case after 7 more games, let alone 15 more games.

You can have everybody else on the roster, the coaches and front office. Because collectively they are negative value.
