This. Winning in Cleveland is a big deal.
And the Giants controlled the lines.
There is improvement each week. Uneven for sure, but tangible improvement. Everyone had us losing this game, and we dominated for half the game. None of you honestly expected this.
...then they realized why he gave himself up. It was exactly the right play, and it reflected the situational awareness that was always an unfortunate hole in Barkley's game.
3 times 40 = 2 minutes
Anyone questioning it is wrong
One way is a certain win. The other way is a probable win. It isn’t splitting hairs. Giving himself on the 1 was the correct decision. Great heads up play - the kind Barkley wasn’t ever smart enough to do.
Except he did do it. At least twice that i recall. There is plenty to bang on Barkley about, but let’s not pretend he hasn’t done what singletary did.

Lol, you’re so predictable…
That’s funny because I’ve consistently complimented the WRs, said Jones played well in the first half.
But that doesn’t mean they didn’t take a step back in the second half. Multiple things are allowed to be true, know that’s too hard for you to comprehend
I watched this game at a large party and very few Giants fans
It felt like two teams intentionally throwing the game in that 4Q
I mean the Giants had nothing to do with thaf fumble. Just a botched handoff
Why did Cleveland go for it on 4th & 1 with 4 mins left and their TOs. Giants FG ends it
Yet the Giants starting on the 29 go backwards on 3 plays and miss the FG
Etc etc
This was ineptitude
I don't seebit that way. It's fine people see what they want..Jones misses Nabers deep that would have been another TD. Giants fumbled stopping another drive..
Giants defense was all over the Browns Oline and Watson

Lots of dump offs and creative scheming the last two weeks. Much like 2022 defenses will start to adjust and roll coverages toward Nabers.
If the Giants want to remain competitive Daboll and Jones will have to adjust and start hitting plays down field. If the downfield shots keep being as poor as they’ve been they’re going to struggle massively.

Yes, except the WRs are much better now then in 2022. They didn't have anyone as good as Nabers and Robinson.
But you are correct. Sometime soon(Thursday) they will roll coverage toward Nabers. Kafka has to have Slayton or Hyatt ready - or Johnson has to start catching passes.

Possibly but teams likely will be fine letting him catch it underneath and limiting his YAC, which has been a majority of the offense right now. They’ll dare Jones to hit Nabers deep hoping he’ll miss more than he hits. Teams will force them to play how Daboll and we all want them to play.
Whether they can execute is another story

A lot of NFL games are won because one team makes less shitty plays. I don’t think there should be any chest thumping and acting like they dominated the Browns. Today turnover luck was in the Giants favor, sometimes it won’t be.
We each had two turnovers and one of ours led to us falling behind 7-0 11 seconds into a game where we got the ball first.

Fred hit the nail on the head way, way earlier.
And the Giants had an interception overturned, one ripped out of the defenders hands, and one dropped. That counts as turnover luck.
Nowhere was anything dismissed, it’s ok to point out this still isn’t a good team.
Glad all it takes is a win against the Browns to get you out of hiding.

Nobody gave the Giants a chance today. In fact, lots of posters said they wouldn’t even watch the game.
And if we are being honest, the game wasn’t as close as the final score.
Good to see you back posting.
The game was as close as the final score.
I’ve posted during and after every game this year. Don’t be a dick just because the Giants won today. Everyone is in a good mood except you. Go figure.
The offense forgot everything they, did in the first half. But, what a nice win. The first half was one of the best halves they've played in a long time.
Admit it, you thought the game was over with the fumble and the 1 play TD drive. I did. But, they stood tall. Great resolve.
I love the football IQ displayed by Singletary, but part of me also likes the idea of the TD there and making it a 2 score game.

Bullshit. You point to the struggles of the offense of the 2nd half, without giving credit to the first half.
But you do you.

Shhh! Ajr doesn’t like it when you fuck up his narrative
At the game. They didn't send many down field opportunities and either by design or audibles, they focused more on short routes and get the YAC.
Curious how Sy and guys like BigBlueBanter see it. They do need to hit big plays down field and sooner than later. Get Hyatt involved, Dabes.
It’s the one route Hyatt runs well right now, any future success likely depends on him making some plays down field. I expect Dallas to minimize the YAC and dare Jones to hit Slayton and Hyatt down field on Thursday. If they can’t it might look like week 1 again, if they can maybe they can finally beat Dallas for once.
RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: The offense is awfully similar to 2022
Bullshit. You point to the struggles of the offense of the 2nd half, without giving credit to the first half.
But you do you.
Besides that post not even being about the second half offense, when did I not give credit to the offense in the first half? As well as the offense played in the first half, not being able to score again to put the game out of reach is concerning. It’s not like they went score for score in a second half shoot out with Cleveland. They put up 0 points. Not sure how this is pushing a narrative.
Your first actual football conversation on this board will be your first. You should probably head to bed so me and section can finish an actual football conversation.
I’d imagine the Browns are praying something comes from the civil suit
I'm really late posting, but I had to watch the game a second time with less booze again to confirm.
I really feel like my personal whipping boy Cor'Dale Flott had a better game than I expected. Other than the one badly missed tackle, he was almost good..... Dare I say it.

Odd is an understatement. If they got outplayed and still won, it wouldn't matter. A win is a win. They outplayed the Skins last week and lost. But as it is they were the better team which is no small thing in Cleveland.

Cautiously optimistic about the defense but I need to see a few games like this before thinking they’ve turned a corner from fine to good.

LOL. ajr (and others) don’t like it when you point out facts. Fucks up their narratives.
This is an odd post being that we agreed. Try harder

Go figure.
Admit it, you thought the game was over with the fumble and the 1 play TD drive. I did. But, they stood tall. Great resolve.
I love the football IQ displayed by Singletary, but part of me also likes the idea of the TD there and making it a 2 score game.
Bottom line, though, nice win.
Curious how Sy and guys like BigBlueBanter see it. They do need to hit big plays down field and sooner than later. Get Hyatt involved, Dabes.

Bullshit. You point to the struggles of the offense of the 2nd half, without giving credit to the first half.
But you do you.

And their defense didn’t collapse after giving up a first play touchdown.
Shhh! Ajr doesn’t like it when you fuck up his narrative

Deshaun Watson is leading an **all-time-franchise bad** offense for the CLEVELAND BROWNS.
I really feel like my personal whipping boy Cor'Dale Flott had a better game than I expected. Other than the one badly missed tackle, he was almost good..... Dare I say it.
