I mentioned this at the end of my "Next Day Non-Emotional Thoughts" thread, but the team should be viewing this game differently than it has in recent years.
Don't look at it as a division rivalry
Don't look at it as another prime time game
Don't think about it as a save the coaching staff, or GM, or shut the media up type of game
Look at this game as an opportunity. Our line blocks, we have a star receiver, if the defense plays aggressively they can hassle the QB. The Giants have an opportunity tonight to really come out and change the narrative of this team and prove they're on their way to becoming respectable again.
Hopefully Metlife is full of Giants jerseys, the fans are fired up and help bring some life to this team. Winning this game can mean a lot to this franchise, we're in a position to do it, this is a great opportunity!
This is a wounded Dallas team with Superbowl or bust written on them this year, that can be 1-3 on Friday morning. The Giants can't get their doors blown off as they have done in the past in this type of setting and argue they are making anything more than incremental progress.
I pray that I am wrong.
Just remember all the Dak Dallas #4 jerseys in attendance, I thought: Jeez, he's a 4th round pick that had a decent pre-season, let's see how he does against some actual starters before we drop the $$$ on a jersey.
NY won 20-19, I was there in 2017 & 2018 also (Dallas won both). Dak is 12-2 and just got his 3rd contract - he's better than average, and probably a good enough QB to win a title . . .
I think NY has a great chance here: Dallas is reeling a bit, and the Thursday night factor is definitely a wildcard.
This is an exorcise the demon on the path to becoming a contender type of game, and Dallas is that demon tonight.
Giants fans (and media) have hit full capitulation here, none of us actually believe we can win this game, even though they are ripe for the picking here.....makes me think we actually do winm. I'm full expecting to lose in a brutal fashion, Aubrey kicking some 70 yard FG for the win after Nabers scores a TD with less than a minute type deal lol.
I will be watching with a blanket covering my eyes, like watching a horror movie. I will believe we can beat them when the 4th qtr is over.
This is a good post. I don't know if they are capable of being a good football team, but they do have the pieces to be one, and they have them in the right places.
Let's go.
I’m hyped up for the game…need a fast, clean start. Set the tone early. We’ve got some young talent, need the coaches to have a good plan and need DJ to play a clean game. We’re all tired of the losing, let’s go!

+1
Spot on.
Dak 12-2 vs Giants and one of the two was by 1 point. 0-7 the last bunch of Thursday nights. A 10 year history of coming up small and letting us down. The history is overwhelming. The Vegas line is daring people to bet Giants which is never a good sign.
Objective analysis suggests that there are lots of reasons for hope. I actually thin we SHOULD win this game. It just hasn't happened. Dallas is Lucy and we are Charlie Brown.
Banks has to keep Lamb in check to one degree or the other. He still makes some frustrating mistakes but he has shown well against Jefferson, McLaurin and Cooper for the most part. The rest of the Cowboy skill players have talent but can be contained.
The Giants need to seize this opportunity to set the course for the rest of the season. If they lay an egg against a very vulnerable Dallas team at home on a short week, all hell will break loose and rightfully so. If they can play well and win there will be some deserved optimism. I'm usually never nervous before a game but I find myself both excited and nervous before this one and for good reason as if they lay an egg my last shreds of confidence in Daboll will be gone
